Smells horrible. The only staff member (of you can call l em that) we saw was eating at the bar. Flies flying all around him.... Find out he was staff only because we asked if he worked there. He acted surprised that we spoke to him. I was surprised hedidn't speak to us at first because 2 other customers walked out from no service as we were walking in. Didn't see or hearanother staff member so I asked if he was working by his self he said someone would be with us in a min. We saw more flies andwalked out. Read more
Online this place says they are open from 10-10. I arrived at 10am and the waitress was mopping and said they weren't open yet.... I stood around and waited for them to open along with 4 others. When the waitress was done mopping, she stepped outside tosmoke. At this point it was 10:20 and the doors were still locked. The 4 guys left to find another place to eat. I continued towait ten more minutes. The waitress never acknowledged that I was even standing at the locked door. At 10:33 I gave up and left.This location will be dying a quick death if they don't want any business by opening. I'm sure it has clean floors though.... Read more
The food was good and the people were nice but thats all i can say for it. We thought it was closed at first cause the front... door was locked and it looked empty but i guess you have to come in the side door. No sign saying so. It looked dirty and ithink the bathroom doors were blocked by cardboard boxes. The whole time we ate we were having to wave off flies. Finished ourfood quickly and left. Read more
We stopped here for a quick bite on our way home from vacation. We were the only car in line and waited almost twenty minutes... for our order. Our fries were cold and grease soaked. Our burgers looked like the skin from the pan had been scraped off withour burgers. We said that our cherry Coke tasted off and asked for original Coke. They replaced it with something just as gross.We love Steak ?n Shake and this was by far our worst experience ever. Greasy, cold food that made us nauseous and we ended upthrowing it away. Dirty tables...had to clean our own. Sick after eating for half a day. Nice lady at the cash register is the only reason for 1... star. One door opens to come in and you must exit another door that will not shut behind you. There was an in an out door fromthe store adjoining. Someone needs to CLEAN and REPAIR this place, and hire someone to keep it clean. Food needs to be kept atcold temps until ready to cook and bread needs to be fresh. Not a satisfied customer at all. My friend got sick as well. We willnever stop there again. Walls were a mess. To go order was sitting on a table for no telling how long. Trash was on the tableswith no trash can in sight. We should've left when we walked in, but we thought due to it's name the food might, just might beokay...NOT!!! Another couple walked in and immediately walked back out. SAD AND VERY TRUE. Read more
Am a weekly customer here and lately the drive thru has been closed at lunchtime frequently. I imagine employee issues. Today a... new purple hair girl was working the drive thru. I ordered a #7 with everything and add jalepenos and frisco sauce and even hadto confirm that 3 times and there was no lettuce tomato or onion on the burger and about 40 slices of jalepenos and tons ofsauce. I've included some pics. Can't imagine what kind of person is preparing the food back there. I imagine someone is tryingto run a legitimate restaurant here and needs to get feedback of how they're potentially losing customers. Read more
My husband and I saw this Steak n Shake and decided to look up the menu on the website. We both wanted chili and we read that... the Chili 5-way was chili with extra meat, cheese, onion and special sauce. So we decided to order that along with 2 shakes. Our?chili? was a plate of spaghetti noodles with chili sauce and vinegar. It was nothing like what the menu said; we we?re verydisappointed and to pay $7.00 EACH was ridiculous! Now the shakes, I got vanilla and my husband got strawberry. Both cups were3/4 whipped cream and very little ice cream and neither weren?t good. So if I had to say if I would recommend them to anyone,the answer is no. I have to say however, that since this Covid (flu) came out, ALL the restaurants went downhill bad. If myhusband and I weren?t team driving a semi for a living, we would NOT eat at restaurants anymore. We would grow and cook our ownfood but that?s not our case for now. Read more
