Boy did we get lucky today! Just out for a drive and we spotted a lovely front porch with people dining on it. The food was... exceptional. Shepherd's pie and fish tacos to die for and the best steak fries EVER. Our server Cheryl, was terrific!!! Read more
Nice staff, excellent seafood not bad prices. Small menu but I prefer quality vs. Quantity anyway. All the appetizers we have... there were superb- steamers and seared tuna. Scallops always perfectly cooked. Read more
Great hostess and server! Very nice environment, quaint New England style, very comfortable. Overall the food was good but not... exceptional, and they were out of a few items. We shared an appetizer, bruschetta, which was excellent and different than most,but a surprisingly small portion (2 pcs of bread). The paella was good, but tasted kind of like the base was Campbell's tomatosoup; and the clams were tough and gritty. The fettuccine was very good, the steak tips and haddock Melissa got a great review,but the mashed potatoes were described as strange and dry. Read more
My husband and I went here for the first time tonight. Food was amazing; I had the beef tenderloins and hubby had beef... wellington. Appetizers of scallops with bacon and fried mozzarella were really good. It's not fancy inside but the food rivaledthe fancy places we just ate at in Portsmouth for the past 3 days. We had a great experience at Onions Pub and Restaurant. Our server Meredith was fantastic she was right on it bringing drinks... apps and dinner. The Bruschetta moly had 2 pieces but was very good. The side salad was not small but could use some onions. Ourdrinks margarita and dark and stormy were very good. Our dinners baked scallops, chicken tenders and bangers and mashed were allvery good overall we had a great experience, great food and exceptional service thanks Meredith. Read more

My husband and I stopped here yesterday, on a whim, on our way back home from The Mountains! It was just fabulous! Hubby was... thrilled with his Shepard?s pie, and my blackened fish tacos were perfection! Our bartender/waitress, Sarah, was absolutelydelightful! She joked and bantered back and forth with my husband and I as we shared our anniversary lunch! Telling us all aboutthe history of the restaurant and even recommending other local attractions for our next visit! The atmosphere was charming andquaint.
