Had a wonderful time at Tilt'n Diner tonight! My friend Brenda had never been there before and absolutely loved her double... burger and onion rings! Very good music, food and staff. Kinda surprised we didn't even get a bunch for the hot dog lol ...the Mac an cheese was a bit... runny but over all goodness..better then all those chain restaurants thats for sure. We have stopped here several times over the years. We decided to stop this time because I wanted breakfast for dinner and my... husband wanted a traditional dinner meal. I enjoyed the corned beef hash and cheese omelet served with nicely grilled redpotatoes. The rye toast appeared to be grilled, which was unexpected but tasty. I took half of the meal home. They have a 5after 5 drink menu for $3.95 each, the spicy mango margarita was heavy on the mango so more on the sweet side. My husband had avanilla frappe, not too thick not too thin. There was a special of fried fish and chips with seconds if you wanted. He had anample amount of food and the fish was very tasty. Topped it off with a piece of warm Toll House cookie pie with hot fudge,vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, which we shared and was decadent. Our bill was just under $42 without tip. Its always a great experience at the Tilt'n Diner!! Fun people and good food. Service was great as well as our waitress. I... had the grilled chicken salad which was very good but the chicken came back on the cold side, but it was still tasty. My friendhad the turkey pot pie which was excellent! Great location right off the highway and near the Tanger Outlets. This is a busy nostalgic looking diner. The diner has a large... menu of typical diner comfort food. The food is good but can be a hit or miss. I highly recommend for breakfast , the pancakesare amazing. You do get huge portions and great service from a veteran staff. You may have to wait a bit on the weekends butthey will text you when your table is ready. Tilt?n Diner has a liquor license and a sit down bar. There is plenty of parkingwith an ATM in the lot. This is a blast from the past! This fifties diner plays the oldies and has a poodle skirt penny loafers feel. The staff are... friendly and quick. The food is really great it's locally grown and deliciously fresh. We loved this so much. I got the NHfarm breakfast. It was MASSIVE! It comes w eggs, bacon or sausage, fries or beans and your choice of toast. I got the sausagewhich was amazing. My husband had the pancakes. He gave it a two thumbs up rating. We came in with a group of nine. The wait on a Saturday was about 45 mins. This may not be typical, there was a group event... taking place. We sat, the menu has many good options. We orders food such as the FishWich, their homemade veggie burger,spaghetti and meatballs, chicken and waffles , Buffalo Mac and cheese etc. Their onion rings were rly good - mozz wedges wereehhhh.
