Came to this location. Ordered food for "here" Not sure why but they didn't give us any plates. Ended up eating on aluminum... foil. Food was good. The habanero sauce is pretty spicy and flavorful. Read more
Food was just all around excellent. Had that authentic feel to it. I ordered the steak taco dinner. The steak was tender and... well seasoned, not chewy or dry. The portions were generous. The employees were very friendly, and the restaurant wasclean. 10/10 I will come back again soon. Read more
I have been eating here for 25 years, and they consistently deliver the best in quality mexican cuisine. I regularly drive 40... minutes to get tacos, like today! Always delicious, never leave hungry or disappointed. Try a sope and have your mind blown,so tasty! Read more
The meal was overall very good. I had the steak quesadilla meal w/ rice & beans. The steak was juicy and the quesadilla was... great when the sides plus guacamole was piled high on top of it. The guacamole and chips were very crispy and the guacamole wasthe perfect texture, nice and smooth. The only complaint was that the rice was basically flavorless, which is rare for aMexican restaurant. I added some mixed salt to it and all was good. OK first, I wouldn?t trust any person who complains about how pricey tacos are , those type of people love uncooked cheap food... and have no taste palette . If you want real city tacos this is the closest place to get them around Tinley Park. No one makesthem like they do. If you understand the market right now, and you?re OK with paying that price then get them here. Thisrestaurant has been around since the 80s, gone through recession times, and the pandemic times that should tell you a lot. Especially in today's market with Chipotle getting in on the game. It'shard to believe these guys have been around for over 30 years. A local option and now a daily staple in all Chicagoansdiets... Can this be traditional Mexican food? What is the true definition of traditional Mexican food can it be el famousburrito? They are the gold standard for Mexican food in the Chicagoland region possibly even the tri-state region. Always agood time to visit el famous burrito. whether it's 9:00am on your way to your attorney's office before your court case or 4:30am when the corner bar kicks you out again for being loud again. Great for a quick lunch bite. Good prices, selection, portionsizes, & horchata. Hot sauce is hot. Fast & friendly service. The entire menu is on the wall like it must/needs to be. Thelargest selection of authentic Mexican dining can be found here outside of the Sierra Madre Occidental. Always open I don'tthink they have keys to the front door they never close.
