Like many, I?ve driven by Schoops and wondered about it. I should?ve just not gone in. On a positive, the decor is okay ? like... Elvis, Marilyn, Johnny Rockets-esque. 1. It was quiet like a library. No music. Very odd. 2. The food was not good. It lackedflavor. 3. I asked for Mayo on my burger and when I got it she gave me packets of Mayo. When I asked why she said somethingabout the health department and not able to have Mayo out. Which I thought was weird considering every other burger place in thearea just puts it directly on the burger. 4. It?s not a happy vibrant place. It seemed sad, like someone had just died. 5. Itwas overpriced for what I got. $20 for a burger and cheese fries and a coke. Not worth it. 6. The wait time wasn?t commensuratefor what I ordered. It took too long. I will not be returning to Schoop?s, nor would I recommend it to anyone who was curious.I feel like this would be a good candidate for one of those restaurant rescue shows with Gordon Ramsey. Great mom and pop owned shop! IF YOU WANT THE CHEESE ACTUALLY ON YOUR CHEESE FRIES go here. That said their burgers are so good... I feel like a kid again when I go there. They close early so get it while it's hot!!!???? Read more

This was the 1st time I had tried this location. Very sweet waitress but she was the only person besides the cook. We waited... for 60 minutes for our food. Having to change it to go, I understand short-staffed but this was beyond bad. Read more

I decided to stop by the one in Tinley Park after being in the area. I am a fan of the Calumet City location. I got it to go... of course. The customer service was wonderful. She was nice, and very welcoming. The cheeseburger was good, and the fries. Idid not dip in the bag for fries while driving. Please make sure you give this place a try when you're in Tinley Park. best burger ever been coming to schoop's for years the burger's are always the same just perfect and the schoop loops are... perfect as your side. I always take half home it's huge but so good. they make a great burger and fries but try a shake and dietthe next day. nothing fancy about the restaurant but the food is great you won't leave hungry Read more
