First time here. We got 2 stuffed baked potatoes with chopped brisket and cheese. Also ordered 1/2 lb sliced brisket but they... gave us chopped. No big deal. Now, I'm trying to write a fair review so here goes...potatoes and brisket were good but there washardly any brisket on the potatoes. That was disappointing. However, the potatoes were only 8 bucks each so maybe that'sappropriate, I'm not sure. The food was good and I would eat there again, but I was expecting more of a stuffed potato. See thepics. Debbie and I haven?t been here in over a year. We met Rebecca and Brian the new owners. Debbie ordered calf fries and a... wonderful Honey Bee Gin drink. She?s quite adventurous. Great stop on the way back from Hagerman Wildlife Refuge on Texhoma. It brought back lots of memories from the days of going... with Roy Kinnan my grandfather and proud owner of his mini farm in Celina called the double K. Food and deserts are stillamazing! Super expensive, $60 for 3 lbs of meat (lb of chopped beef, lb of smoked turkey, 1/2 lb ribs and 1/2 lb pulled pork). When I got... the meat home, it was obvious I did not receive a full pound of turkey or chopped beef. Pulled out the scale, and sure enough,we only receive 1/2 lb of turkey and 11 oz of chopped beef. I called and management did refund a part of my money, but honestly,at those prices, we should get the full amount of food we paid for without having to contact them to correct the issue. Finally stopped in after saying we need to try it for years. We?ll definitely be coming back. The staff is super friendly! The... plates are huge! We got stuffed and had leftovers. We ordered the fried cheese balls and devoured them. Ordered the kids chickenstrip plate, calf fries meal, rib and one meat plate, and the kids corn dog basket. Husband said those were the best fried calffries he?s ever had. The brisket was sooo good. French fries were hit with all of us! Ribs and sides were yummy too. Read more
If your up for the drive this place is worth it! Friendly staff! Fast service! The brisket was great, lean but moist! Loved the... flavor of the bbq sauce! Beans full of flavor. Coleslaw cool and tasty. This is an example of old town bbq! I definitelyrecommend this place. Read more
Great service, ribs cooked perfectly, brisket a tad dry for me but good. Will return and try that brisket again and update.... Overall, great place, great atmosphere and I love the fact that you can get a cold draft beer with your BBQ. Good job guys! Read more
They now have adult beverages! We've been twice in one week. Ribs are fantastic. They have a pull off bone, dry rub. I don't... like fall off the bone. The brisket is perfectly smoked and nice bark. You can actually taste the meat not just the smoke and ita basic seasoning which tastes just like my mother's. Salt, pepper maybe a little something else, but really let's the flavor ofmeat shine! Good sides too! Beans, slaw, sweet potato that is plain which again I like. They have flavored butter, but I optedfor plain good ol' sweet cream butter. Also, Gene Autry memorabilia.
