We rented the mansion for my daughter?s bridal shower. What a perfect setting to celebrate! The inside of the mansion is... incredible, tastefully decorated with period pieces. Oh and the outside! I visited on a Sunday afternoon May 2022. I wasn?t even sure they were open, but they were. I was the only person there. The day... was nice, I wonder where everyone was at? The grounds around the tasting room and house are a mess with flower beds over takenby weeds. It was not nice or pretty to look at. Randy was very nice, I tried the only dry red they offered, Marquette Reserve,it was good. Atmosphere was not great, we have no need to return. This is my favorite winery! This place is perfectly situated between iowa city, cedar rapids, and the quad cities. They moved a... beautiful old brick mansion and are restoring it. Placed upon a hill with gorgeous views. The owners are absolutely fantastic,and there is a wine for everyone here. All the wines are made on site, with all the grapes being grown on site too! My wife and I have been there a handful of times and have always had a great time. I stopped by today to pick up wine for... dinner. They were closed due to the weather but they opened up just for me so I could accomplish my mission. The wines aregreat, the people who work there have always been knowledgeable about the products.
