Well I have not been here in years! Did not see the familiar faces of the owners or their kids. New generation in there now.... This is where Japanese sushi was first introduced to me. You use to get a nice warm steamed wash cloth before eating and anicely cubed orange at the end. Not anymore! The calamari tempura was gross. The sushi does not have that wow factor anymore. Iuse to boast about this place. Sadly I will not return. This place use to be so much better but now there is way better Japanesesushi places around to find over Osaka. Thee Most Delicious Sushi in New York! What a beautiful little gem Tivoli is, made even better by the wonderful Osaka ?? We... ordered takeout for lunch today, & oh my it exceeded our expectations. So fresh & delicious, it just melted in the mouth. Weordered the Sushi & Sashimi lunch special, along with a Little Hudson Roll & Downtown Roll which was very special. My wife Jennifer ate here many years ago and was impressed. Probably 15 years or so. We were on our way to Suarez Family and... decided, rather abruptly, to pull into town and see if the place was still there. It was to our contentment. It?s located in alittle house. Next to a tapas place. Down near the river. We were happy to see that the place opened at 430. Not 5. The menu isshort and sweet. We got a bunch of rolls and some sashimi. We appreciated the wooden signs in the back alerting to the freshfish of the day. Read more
Solid Japanese In Tivoli! We enjoyed this easy going Japanese restaurant in Tivoli. It?s tastefully, decorated, low key and most... importantly the food is quite good. We will be back. Service could improve a tad(they brought the main courses 5 minutes apart).But it?s very solid overall and we recommend it. Read more
