We had a really delicious dinner experience at the Shelter. Our waitress Jess was friendly and attentive. The calamari was... perfectly done and crispy. We ordered the seafood housemade fettuccini noodles and salmon on risotto and both meals were verytasty. I would love to come back and try other things on the menu! Read more
You NEED to stop here!! The food was excellent. Our server was great! She explained things and gave great recommendations. This... was the first time I tried Lingcod, and loved it. I can see why thy are a busy spot. We did stop without reservations and theywere able to accommodate the four of us, however I would recommend calling ahead so your not disappointed. Our son who is apicky eater told us the kids Mack and Cheese is actually good. From him that is rare! Read more
We made reservations in advance and were seated by the window with a nice view at dinner time. The menu had a lot of great... sounding options. We ended up going with the Süze Crispy Calamari as an appetizer which was delicious and something I highlyrecommend. For mains, we ordered the Lingcod Fish & Chips and the Tofino Surf Bowl with wild salmon, both of which were good.The portion sizes were very generous. Read more
Absolutely incredible meal! We ordered the Izakaya Salad, tuna tataki, shrimp & mussel fettuccine, and the seared wild sockeye... salmon. The portions were huge and the flavours were just perfect… loved the ambiance and the patio area is stunning with theview. They had the heaters going and it was so toasty. Loved the food here! The fish tacos were amazing. Loved the pork rind. The tuna tataki were also very flavorful. The fish and... chips was a slight let down, the fish seemed a little on the mushy side. The fries were pretty standard as was the slaw. We satin the booth, so there was quite a bit of distance between everyone. Read more
It was a cold when we went but they have a lot of outdoor heaters so we were able to enjoy the fresh air and not have to be... inside. The waitress was very nice and friendly. The price is fair and the quality of the food is good. It's just a littleout of the main street but it's worth stopping if you want a nice lunch. The restaurant is quite big. The interior is largeand a very nice decent sized terrace as well. There was about a 30 minute wait when we went but I have the feeling it's normal. Read more
Pretty good. The salmon surf bowl got better as you ate through it. Little pricy, but the staff were friendly and polite. Great... patio area, and well ventilated inside the building as they leave the patio doors open, and there's lots of natural light. Read more
