Went there and was severely let down. Got the judges sampler for $35. Opened tray and was surprised how little actual meat on... one side. Looked like scraps. Thought ..."well hopefully it tastes really good at least..." nope.... was super dry. Ribs werecharred and dry with very little meat on them, other meat was dry and charred. Corn bread was hard on outside. Got coleslawand baked beans. Portion sizes were not bad, but not a fan of either. Coleslaw had poppy seeds? In it. Little black seeds?/did not like in it. Baked beans were supposed to have brisket in them... didn't really see any and they tasted to me like beansin BBQ sauce, that's it. The Texas toast with meal was good though. The chicken quarter was only meat in tray not dry oroverdone. I wanted to really like this place from some of reviews, but just couldn't. So always heard this place was great for barbecue. Went there today to check it out I was pretty amazed I'll tasty everything... once. First time coming here and it will not be my last. Omg this food is phenomenal. One of my favorite places of all times. I got... the loaded fries and I will say these things must be fried with the tears of angels because they were heavenly. We had the Judge's Sampler.Creamy slaw,hand cut fries,Texas Toast,Ribs,Chicken,Brisket,Pulled Pork.8 different sauces on our... tray.Every single item was excellent! Ribs were tender and smokey,the pulled pork melts in your mouth,and brisket may just besome of the best in Toledo. The chicken was juicy without being Greasy. My only knock on the meal was none of the variety ofsauces we tried have a way to determine which one they were.Good thing I liked most of them. Cant wait to try more of the menu. Read more
City Barbeque catered an event last week for Dental Excellence of Delta, and everything was perfect! They delivered and set up... all the food for us, showed us how to keep it warm, and all the supplies we'd need, such as plates, napkins, and more! They madethe event super easy. They went above and beyond for communication, always responding to emails in a timely manner, answeringany questions we had, and making sure we had what we needed. Plus the food was delicious! The only thing we personally couldhave done better was to order more food! City Barbeque is so well known that we had a huge turnout and ran out of food. Now weknow for the future.
