We chose this restaurant based on reviews and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was lovely - darker, intimate with candles... at every table. Delightful meal and first time experience here! The atmosphere here is pretty much as formal as it gets; the staff is extremely... professional and well-trained. Boyfriend’s sirloin was cooked to perfection (we have very high standards as my parents areboth CIA New York alum), he loved the Mac & cheese as well! We had an absolutely fabulous experience! Our server, Cara, was amazing! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. We will... make sure to request her next time. Heather, the manager, was also professional and made us feel very welcomed. I had the ahituna and it was the best I have ever had! Hubby got the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection. J Alexander is definitely our go-to spot for the finest prime rib anywhere! Service is always excellent even to the smallest... details like removing your straw wrappers from the table. Don't forget to have the amazing carrot cake for desert! Read more
The food was great. It was fresh and flavorful. Today's special included a potato soup, topped with bacon and cheese. It was... highly peppered/seasoned, which my husband enjoyed. The chicken was flavorful and tender. My husband enjoyed an amazing burgerand loaded potato. The staff was friendly and attentive. Only marking it down a star because for the price of the restaurant, weanticipated it to be a bit cleaner. The menus were sticky. And while the interior of the restaurant was incredibly dark, alongthe outer seating it was brighter and the sides of the booths were noticeable. First time coming here and will not return . Waited 25 minutes for a drink new York strip steak was fatty and Mac n cheese was... not for me. The flavor of the steak was good but the cut was not . First time at this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. Had the steak Maui. After hearing about it for many years, I decided... to give it a try. The marinade that was on it was delicious. The prime rib was also great. What I came for was the dessert. Iordered the infamous carrot cake, with a scoop of ice cream....boy oh boy. It was nice and warm, very sweet, and rich.
