I'm from Illinois and have been living in Toledo for about 7 months now, I've been trying all kinds of pizza places. So I tried... this place based on the good reviews. Pizza was terrible because it was overcooked, I gave most of it to my dog. Look at thepic, why would someone think that anyone would want a pizza cooked like that. It wasn't cheap either! Love, love, love the deep dish pizza here. It is Devine! My whole family looks forward to the trip from MI to Toledo just to... have Pizzapaplis Deep Dish Pizza. It is well worth the price. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys pizza. The decor ispleasant and fun in restaurant, the staff is always super friendly and accommodating. I would give them 10 stars if possible. Read more
Where to start! This is definitely the best pizza available in Toledo, but surprisingly the price is higher than the top pizza... places in Chicago, if not the same. I guess we are also paying for the brand value. Pizza base, sauce, toppings and cheese!!!!Every thing?s perfect with this deep dish pizza, except parts of the pizza base felt little doughy. If the price doesn?t matterthen this could very well be your top pick for pizza places in Toledo. Read more
We had Vanessa as our waitress and she was absolutely amazing. She interacted with our 3 yr old as well as the adults. The pizza... was delicious and we never had to wait for any drink refills. Very pleased with our meal and our service. Read more

I?ve drove past a lot and always wanted to try PizzaPapalis. I started reading all the reviews and came to the conclusion that... they MAY have the best pizza in Toledo. So, my husband called in a large pizza last night before they closed for our familynight. I feel like we wasted our money. It was so BLAND! Absolutely no flavor. We?ve had frozen Chicago style pizzas that havetasted better. Throwing the other half in the trash, sadly! My kids only touched half of their slice. Reminds me of being home in Detroit????. Whenever I?m in the mood for a nice deep dish pizza and I can?t go to my favorite spot... in Chicago, I always choose Pizza Papalis. My food was fresh and accurate. I did order it and get it delivered throughDoorDash, but everything was perfect. I normally get a personal deep dish with spinach and cheese.
