I don't know why it is so hard to find a good pub in LA. They're either too fancy or too divey with bad food. That being said,... Timmy's was a welcome find. For being a smallish pub that was mostly full, the service was quite good. Friendly, quick, nononsense. Very appreciated. The vibe was good, too. Good mix of people, sports, creatives, and regulars. The food was quitegood, too. Fried pickles, Irish stew, and fish and chips were great. I would not recommend the bread pudding, though that wasour mistake for ordering it. A very "Irish" pub. Expect lots of old Ireland based material like maps, ads and the like along the walls. Standard pub fare... and full bar with (of course) a good amount of Irish beer and whisky. Bigger than it looks due to there being a second floor.The second floor has its own dedicated bar and can also be entered from the stairs above the parking lot entrance. There's adumbweighter between floors but it doesn't seem to be used all the time. I'd give the place five stars if the second floor barwas open all all times during business hours. Read more
