I make it a point to stop here when in in the area. The staff is friendly and professional. Even when there is a customer being... belligerent because the lights went out. Not only his shower but all of them. He has a very bad attitude towards the cashiersand the manager the morning of this review. Turns out he didn't turn his light switch on when the lights were restored. The pumps don't read Rewards card for commercial trucks so you are not getting your points even when you go inside. The manager... said they had an electrical storm and it hasn't worked right since. Here's a solution: call IT and stop screwing the drivers.We have to have receipts for taxes. It saves a lot of your backup issues at the pump when it works correctly. Took initiative and reserved a space here early in the morning as a trucker. I show up at 10 PM after an 8 hour drive and the... place is packed. I tell them I reserved a space but the reserved spaces are full. They tell me there?s nothing they can dobesides give me a refund, despite the fact that I did reserve a space at this location and counted on it to be available when Iarrived. I accept the refund and parked on the on ramp. Next morning I get two separate tickets from state police. TL;DR. Donot count on reserving a space here and your deal being honored. Showers and restroom were clean. Shower 8 did have issues the hot water would only work for like 2 seconds and you would hear it... click and it turned to just warm water. It was on and off the whole shower. Probably the worst shower I've ever had at a Pilot.They are usually great. Other than that. Still a great place to stop. Restaurants were clean and employees were friendly andquick,even in the main store. Big parking lot with alot of spots to reserve. But it looks full tonight. Read more
I would give 5 stars but they have reserved PAID parking for truckers. Not as many as some places so that's a plus. We provide... much of the business for these truck stops. Why should we also PAY to park with the tens of thousands each trucker pays on fueland fuel taxes. Other than that this facility was great. Hot coffee, hot and cold tea, cold soft drinks at the fountainstaging area. Nice scenery and a friendly staff. Quiet 10 hr break. The wifi for purchase is horrible here as it is at manytruck stops. It cuts in and out. They have hot foods available also. Read more
Fresh renovation, several food options that are all good, good has prices, conveniently located off the highway, and good staff... are all found here. I drive a lot of Virginia and Pilot is a great option but this is my favorite of them. I always recommendthis stop as it is at a perfect point regardless of going north or south on 81 or east on 66.
