While we prepared for tomorrows noble quest for elevation, our body?s sought for nourishment. As we approached the town tonopa... we found several options. The bar across the street? Too slow.. subway down the road? too fast. A&W seemed to be a gamble butour spirit of adventure carried us through the doors. The restaurant was cleaned to a higher standard than most. The staff waswarm and inviting like your grandmothers loving embrace. My food arrived to the table in a timely manner. The lettuce was crisplike the morning spring dew. The burger was juicy, flavorful and seasoned to perfection. The bun was full of flavor and soft anda cumulonimbus cloud. As I left A&W I heard a voice within me telling me that it would not be my last visit to this edifice ofrootbeer and cheese fries. Read more
Parking sucks, service is so slow the food was cold by the time they brought it to me. 1 worker up front and 3 in back talking.... First and last time here can tell you that. You can also smell the cigarette smoke from the casino. Definitely not a 4starjoint, only 4 because of location..... Read more
This place is really good! The fries were crispy on the outside but warm and soft on the inside, while the burger was filled... with tons of yummy fillings. They also (obviously) had A&W floats which were really good. Cheese curds were really good too. Read more
The food is AMAZING. Eat every bite amazing. Workers were going as fast as they could when this sleepy little town had a few... hundred extra people! A holiday weekend and a convention they apparently weren't aware of added work. The ONLY bad thing we cansay is the hours on the DOOR say open until 11 Fri and Sat. Which it sadly isn't, leaving people hungry, angry, and with themoney A&W could have earned still in their pockets. Read more
Friendly service, cool location, and the food was good. The blended float is a must if you go here! Yummy. The best part is that... it's attached to a casino so you can do some quick gambling. Read more
John was really polite and the whole staff was welcoming to me AND my pooch, Buddha. Its always a nice surprise when people... don't kick you out for having a dog with ya. He's super mellow so that helps when it's understood. We had a great time and splita root beer float (I got the bigger half) and some (freakin awesome) french fries. We were treated really well here. Went there cause my daughter loves root beer. Decided she wanted cheese frys and that I?d get my husband a coney dog. Was rang... up for coney dog and added $3.90 for the combo (makes sense) then added a medium chili cheese fries with no coney sauce for anextra $2.70? So $2.70 extra for the cheese my daughter wanted????? When I realized and asked them to fix it as I did not ordera separate fry and thought $2.70 seemed outrageous for a side of cheese I was given a bit of hard time. They ended up refundingmy purchase back to my card but said they couldn?t give me anything proving they refunded it?(weird?). They then re rang me upfor the coney cheese dog and combo then .69 for cheese which seemed way more like it was supposed to be in the first place asall my 12 yo wanted was cheese on her fries!!! As you can imagine I was given lots of attitude from staff there especially theolder lady working. I heard her tell the cook to make sure he gave me a small fry. As I?m writing this review the following dayI realize the combo they rang me up for was a medium fry?.. very unprofessional there is nowhere to call to let management orowners know either. Read more
