Drove in to visit family in Topeka and we ordered ahead for 6 Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner meals, to go. Given that most... restaurants were closed for the holiday we had limited options and figured it might be a long wait, even ordering ahead. Thepickup system was out behind the restaurant and seemed to work well, but they may have been a bit understaffed or just simplydidn?t expect such a high demand. Had to wait about 45 minutes longer than expected, but overall it was a great experience.Thanks to the young man who gave us a box of cinnamon rolls on the house. He deserves a nice thank you bonus. 11-10-22 Non of the employees where friendly. Our waitress did a good job, but wasn't friendly. It took awhile to get our food... but it was a little before lunch and it was busy, so very understandable. The food just plain sucked. My husband liked thebiscuits over his roast beef, stake fries and broccoli. I had the County Fried Stake, mashed potatoes with green beans. I hadbetter CFS when I worked at the nursing home in council grove. The gravy for the roast beef was like lumpy jelly. Nasty CANNEDgreen beans. The quality has dropped and it's quite sad. Read more

I LOVE cracker barrel and go to anyone any chance I get. This one had very friendly staff and very helpful and fast service but... my wife got the country fried steak and it was old, no breading on the bottom, and the gravy sat on top like jello. The rest ofmy family got breakfast items and they were delicious. If you go I would stick to their breakfast menu. Read more

Always such a fun time coming here. From the great comfort food on the always great menu to the friendly staff and fast service... to the fun niche shop outside the dining area. Can always find hard to find candy, soda, etc. Something for everyone! Lovethe fish fry-days. Everything on the menu is fantastic, what I like to call a dart board menu. Great place. So many things to see and buy while waiting for your table or even after your meal. This time it was meal for two... people. Food was good nothing special, we asked for scramble eggs but server brought something else, it's fine; we didn't wantto wait. Their menu have large selection if you are hungry, but not a cheap place to eat if your budget. Server was excellent;very attentive, efficient and friendly. We have to wait 30 minutes for a table, so if you are in a hurry, not your best choice. Read more

Editing 2022, June . Everyone was helpful and polite. Corporate customer service was especially nice and reached out to me but... I still don't think I'll go back to this particular location. Updated June 2022: worst experience ever in my life. Worst foodever, totally ashamed to go here. To top it off, they overcharged me about $6 for some unknown reason as I forgot to get thereceipt. Served a brick hard black totally dry sausage patty nothing resembled food at all unless you compare it to prison foodmaybe . Nothing looked like when we went last year, it's like they served literal garbage . The floor was filthy like theycould not be bothered . This is the worst experience I have every had. The food was cold. The steak was supposed to be medium well but there was blood... showing. They put my fried okra on the same plate as my meal so the okra nothing but mush. Went back to return meal I forgotapple pie at home. The manager got smart and ask me if I enjoyed the pie. I told him I haven't tasted it. So he end up returningonly my money for the meal. Made me pay for pie and keep my tip. If I was them I would have comped my whole meal and gave me agift certificate so I would come back but right now I'll never go back there I don't mean to play the race card but I am a blackwoman Read more

Had a great breakfast here soon after it opened. Always enjoy coming to eat and see the variety of Knick knacks and snacks they... offer. The food was great and nice sized, coffee wasn?t bad either. Overall, highly recommend a visit I?d you haven?t been.Plenty of weapons on the wall in the event of a zombie apocalypse too, so that?s a nice feature as well. ???? Read more
