Tonight my friend was told she was not allowed to come into the store again due to her purse being to big and they had an... inkling she was going to steal, not that she had because she allowed them to check her purse. This was completely uncalled forand I guess since it?s private property they?re allowed to do this. Really I think they should be ashamed of themselves. Trustyou just lost a few loyal customers. At 4 pm it was not busy. No big line in customer service to drop off a package to be picked up by the post office today. Same at... the deli, fast an easy to get some cuts of meat. No people in the cashiers waiting, so it was a fast trip. The store was cleanand well organized. Read more
I actually went to Wahlburgers that is inside Hy Vee. The food was really good, I especially liked Paul's Wahl Sauce!! The... burgers are a good size, thought they are fairly on the expensive side, but I think for what we got was pretty worth it. I wasdisappointed in the fact that the Wahlburg's didn't do anything to the restaurant part of it. Yeah, some tables and chairs wereremoved to give some space between you and the people sitting next to you but the same old booths, same old tables and chairs,same old drinking station. So, that part I gave it 3 stars but an overall of 4 stars because of the size and quality of theburgers, and of course, Paul's Wahl Sauce. Basically nothing was done to make the old eating space from Hy-Vee, so it is stillpretty much Hy-Vee. I was excited to go there, then I got there and it was like someone let the air out of my balloon. This was my first visit ever at a Hy-Vee Grocery store, They have alot of different ethnic/gourmet foods to choose from, a very... clean and organized vegetable/fruit section. A delicious bakery with fresh bread ect... absolutely ???? I will be going tothis grocery market alot more. Read more
This review is specifically for Riley and Brittany in the bakery department at the Wanamaker store. I went in to make an order... for the life celebration for my dear mother who recently passed after a sudden illness. They were both so knowledgeable, helpfuland patient with me. Typical grocery store. They have a good selection of whatever you're looking for but also very pricey so definitely a give and... take situation. Sometimes the cashier's won't even look at me much less how I am or usher in any kind of greeting whatsoeverwhich I find a bit rude but the store is very clean and well kept. Overall you can't go wrong. Read more
