The tuna and mushroom pizza is so good! The truffle oil was just enough to not to overpower other ingredients. The crisp is so... tasty! King crab and the squid tempura were disappointing. Braised short ribs were fatty and executed well. Finished with somegood desserts, both the chocolate cup and the lychee mousse were just right on sweetness. Overall this restaurant is great. Feellike some dishes are hit or miss, so not a definitely go back place. Read more

Went here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, good food. I would personally recommend the wagyu tacos and rock shrimp both... are really tasty appetizers. The lamb chops and Sea bass were also very nice in flavour. The cocktails were also nice lookingand tasty. Really nice ambiance inside the restaurant and beautiful inside. Only minor issue I had was that my waiter wasn’tas present as I would have wanted. Had to wait a decent amount of time for my second drink order and water to get refilled . Read more

Toronto has an impressive, if daunting, restaurant scene. It was hard to narrow down places we wanted to try, but I'm glad Akira... back made the cut. Delicious from beginning to end, be sure to try all they offer, including their warm, cold, main, and sushiplates. Everything is good for sharing so this place is ideal for a group. Read more

Food tastes okay (I guess) but I've certainly had much better sushi at a fraction of the price. $250 later my date and I were... still hungry and went elsewhere after for more filling food. If you're in to taking pictures for the Gram or TikTok to look likeyou're cool, then I suppose you'll have a good time. If you're just a foodie like myself who thought a Michelin star would meanmind blowing food, set your expectations a lot lower. Read more

If there were half stars, we’d probably rate Akita a 3.5, reason being that it is good, but not as good as it should be given... the price and the hype. The food presentation was top notch, but the taste itself was very average and thus underwhelming. Infact, I think we’ve had better sushi at takeout or even ready-made. We also tried the ribeye, and like everything else, thepresentation was good but the meat itself was underwhelming. It was chewy and tough, a very soft sear, and didn’t come withany sides. It was also oily which was unappealing. The octopus was surprisingly fried with a batter, which made it taste a bitlike fried chicken. However, it was my favorite dish and the truffle potato fluff was delicious. The cocktails weredisappointing and weak — my first one tasted watered down and my girlfriend’s tasted like juice. Far too expensive for whatthey were. The waiting staff were quite nice and attentive. They were very accommodating even when we arrived late so theservice gets a 5/5. We will likely not be returning but if you want an upscale experience with mediocre food, then I wouldrecommend it. Read more

Incredible food. Incredible service. Fine dining at its finest. Prepare yourself to pay more then your typical Japanese... restaurant however worth every dollar. Check out the Japanese whiskeys, sake and pretty much every dish in the menu was onpoint. Read more

Fantastic experience! we did share-plate styles. I don't eat seafood but still 100% enjoyed the experience & seeing the... presentation of the food itself. Will 100% return for the tacos! The group enjoyed all sea food items they ordered as well! Read more

One of my favorite spots for Japanese and Korean cuisine! Everything we had was 10/10. Crab fried rice was perfect, the back cod... was amazing. The wagyu tacos are a must and the king crab was delicious! Fun rolls and signature drinks. No indoor seating atthis particular time but the outdoor tent with heaters was fine. Read more
