I live above Barnsteiners. I feel like my husband and I have been extremely kind and supportive to the restaurant throughout the... pandemic and beyond . The kindness was not returned. Small example- we went to have oysters tonight. The owner was about to turnus away. Because they were ‘too busy’ for take out. It was 5:30 And the restaurant was empty. They staff was very kind andprepped our oysters for take out. We go to the restaurant because it’s convenient. The staff are great. Food okay. Read more
Absolutely fantastic experience. We started our evening off at another restaurant and after having appetizers and a first round... of drinks we decided it wasn’t for us. Coming to this place we felt right at home from walking in. The ambience is absolutelydelightful, The drinks provided and mixed by Catherine were sumptuous and the food was absolutely to die for. We had the shortrib platter which was described as being vacuum sealed and prepared to order. Donovan our server was a gem he was truly down toearth and very approachable and truly took the time to explain to us the culinary experience we were about to have and hisguidance was appreciated. The Wiener Schnitzel was soo delicious! I highly recommend it. My only complaint was the service. There moments were our table... was without any water. The restaurant was very packed and that oversight is understandable. Also, my friend and informed theserver about her peanut allergy and was assured that there wasn’t any peanuts in the dish. However, she started to develop areaction, so there must have been some cross-contamination. Read more
Fabulous restaurant with a great ambiance. We were seated on a high top because we walked in without a reservation. Expect the... place to be pretty packed on weekend dinners. They have an open kitchen so it smells amazing as the cooks do their thing andit’s visually appealing as the food is being prepared. No loud music but only through people chattering does the room getfilled with busyness. Their strength seems to be on the seafood side of things and they do a real good job at it. Great atmosphere and service. Tuna tar-tar was amazing! Seafood pasta wasn’t that great, because of mussels that didn’t... taste fresh. Shrimps in the pasta were grilled perfectly though. Overall, good experience. Read more
Tasty food, great service and nice atmosphere. Great cocktails and the crackling Cornish hen was amazing! There is a nice... little patio, but also lots of distanced seating indoors including seating with views of the kitchen where you can watch thestaff working hard to prepare your meal. Read more
Great food with a nice little patio that's now open for reservations. The patio area isn't huge, so table space is fairly... limited, but they did expand and add a few tables to the side of the building outside. Food and service were excellent, andprices aren't bad. Fairly large menu with a good amount of choices to select from. Reservations were limited, but that's to beexpected since things have just reopened so everyone is trying to get a table right now. I enjoyed my experience at Barnsteiner's! The food was very tasty and the service was good. However, I think they should treat... their service less like a pub, and more upscale (they can get away with it if they trained their staff accordingly). At the endof the day, however, great value and I will return! Read more
