If you?re looking for drinks and appetizers then this is a cool spot to check out but if you?re looking for good Japanese food I... would avoid this place. It is definitely overpriced and the price my wife and I paid we could have had a nice steak dinner atthe Keg. The ramen looks good in the pictures but is the worst I?ve ever had. It is bland with no flavour and tasted a bitbitter. The braised beef udon wasn?t bad but was not worth $25. The spicy salmon tasted like it came from a grocery store andvery small portion for the price you pay. The best part of the meal was the agedashi tofu, small portion but it wasflavourful. Overall it ain?t a bad place but if you come here make sure to get a number as there are waits. The staff arefriendly as well. Read more

I really wanted to love this, since it?s so close by. The flavour was not there for any of the dishes we tried. It was just very... disappointing overall. Service was really good. they were able to answer all our questions and dietary restrictions. Read more

We were craving some Japanese food in the Distillery District, and decided to try this place out, where we ordered the... following: salmon maki, takoyaki, chicken donburi, japanese chicken katsu curry, and the katsu curry udon. All of the food wehad was absolutely delivious, but the takoyaki was the star od fhe show. The service was also very friendly and prompt. Willdefinitely recommend this place! Read more

Good restaurant. I mean there's nothing wrong, but it's just the little things: agedashi tofu was only warm, takoyaki could have... a little more pieces of octopus, nothing major. (Dishes in my pictures are half eaten lol) The thing that bothered me the mostwas the tuna taco, where they used seaweed as the taco shell. As ppl all know, seaweed doesn't stay crispy all that long, letalone wrapped around rice. So you have chopped up tuna, easy to bite off rice, and then really chewy seaweed that's impossibleto tear off with your teeth. And then it all gets super messy. I would say the taste was good, but there should be more thoughtsput into the presentation, maybe using cut up seaweed? Or maybe switch to smth else that's more finger food friendly? Btw theyoffer free appetizer (gyoza?) if you post a 5 star review, so if you ever want a free appetizer...... Read more

The food is Okay, not the best Japanese cuisine out there but I don't expect to eat authentic Japanese food in the middle of the... distillery district. We had the ramen, karaage, and the poke bowl. None of those items impressed us and we found the items alittle pricy. Read more

This restaurant has a deal where if you rate it 5 stars you get a plate of free gyozas. Not a fan of buying reviews so I?m... taking off a star just for that. It isn?t bad, but it?s not a 5-star place in my opinion. Food was fine, but nothing special-like a less mainstream (and Japanese) Jack Astors. Read more

Was craving for Japanese food while walking around Distillery and decided to dine here for late lunch. Food were fantastic and... delish! I ordered the poke bowl which I think was a lil pricey. And my partner got the curry. We also got free gyoza as it wastheir promo every Thursday. Server was accommodating and nice. They also have covered and heated patio which was great! Read more
