The service was amazing, our server was super kind to my cousin and I and suggested great drinks that we ended up enjoying a... lot. The pizza and Gnocchi were delicious and very well made, but the Cacio e Pepe had a slight milky after taste but was stillgood! I would recommend this place to anyone. Read more

Food is simple and tasty, the lasagna was exceptional. Pesto tagliatelle was really mediocre with a bland pesto and slightly... undercooked pasta. Salad was fresh and super delicious. I found a small piece of plastic (not bone, plastic), in the lasagna. We didn’t raise a huge fuss nor did our server ever grace our table to check up on us. Service can definitely be moreattentive and warm. Overall a superb meal (despite the plastic in food)! Read more

Friendly, warm Italian hospitality with good food. The gnocchi in my carbonera was a tad too soft, but the rigatoni was cooked... perfectly. The prosciutto was also really delicious! A hidden gem on queen street with fair prices as well, though portions areon the smaller side. Read more

This place is incredible! The pasta is fresh and so flavourful. I got the cacio e pepe gnocchi and my friend got the bolognese.... Both dishes were seasoned to perfection and well-balanced. Not to mention, they were incredibly kind. They still seated andserved us as they were about to close. They also initially saw me standing outside in the cold waiting for my friend andinsisted that I come and sit down inside to get warm. The servers were friendly, attentive, and highly accommodating, to say theleast. Truly a great experience. I highly recommend this place for authentic Italian food and excellent customer service. Ican’t wait to visit this place again! Read more

Amazing fresh pasta! Our server was very nice and attentive, detailed with explaining how the menu worked, and what the special... was. Notable favourites were the pesto (which we got with rigatoni) and the carbonara (which we got with tagliatelle). Bothwere absolutely scrumptious, although the portion sizes could have been bigger, we got 5 pastas between three people. Thedrinks are also a bit on the expensive side but great nonetheless. Would not recommend ordering any of the sandwiches.Otherwise, amazing place! Read more

Sitting on Buono's patio on a warm, but breezy summer evening was just comforting. We indicated in our reservation we wanted the... patio, but they didn't actually set aside a table, so we had to wait inside until a table had left. The inside was nice, but itwas no patio. Compared to some other great pasta places in the city (ie Famiglia Baldassarre), the portions were really, reallysmall (snack-size) for the high price (around $12.50-18). We ended up ordering an extra dish because we were still hungry. Thepasta was freshly made, the carbonara more delicious than the amatriciana. You pick from three different noodles, and a bunch ofdifferent sauces. The piadina, their unique selling point, was also delicious, but again pretty expensive for what you get(around $13-19). The servers were really, really nice though (Authentically Italian!)- attentive with the water and quick withservice. Read more

WHAT TO TRY?! Since you most likely tried mainly southern Italian cuisine in the many Italian restaurants you've been to, you... might be up to trying a restaurant that specializes in Northern italian cuisine here!! Basically I would recommend all thedishes here because it's a different method of flavouring and cooking style. We tried the sciatt, a buckwheat fritter that hadValtellina Casera DOP cheese inside the balls! Very unique and very tasty especially when it's served hot, the cheese meltsinside. We also had the tagliatelle with Ragu Bianco. Homemade tagliatelle with homemade meat sauce. Pasta was al Dante justthe way I like it and the pasta had just the right amount of sauce. Not too much and not little. We also ordered from thesecond section and got the polenta salsiccia e Funghi. The sausages on this polenta tasted so good and I'm a big fan of porcinimushroom too so I liked the bite to this mushroom. The polenta was okay, you really need to eat it with the sausage and themushroom to add the flavor into each bite of this dish. The waiter was super friendly and nice. She would walk me through themenu and explain what she would recommend us to eat depending on how hungry and how heavy we want the dishes. She would also bebrave enough to say if it was too much and asked us to settle for less food to really enjoy the meal. I loved the music theyplayed at this restaurant. They played Italian and it really added to the experience. I thought I was in Italy for a second inmy time spent at the restaurant. LAST TIP? You can opt to share dishes because that's what we did so you don't have to justorder pasta. You can opt to try the other dishes in the primi and secondi menu too! The restaurant is mainly open for dinners.Only time to catch them for lunch is Friday and Saturday! Read more
