My husband and I love going to French restaurants in Toronto. We wanted to try this one out because of the good reviews. Our... server let us know ownership had changed recently. The presentation of the food was lovely, the server was very kind, howeverthe food did not taste like it was cooked by a chef. My husband and I both did not feel well after eating here as well. Wonderful, attentive service and excellently prepared delicious fare at the Cafe La Gaffe for my wife and my Anniversary... Lunch. We had not dined at this fine establishment since the Covid lockdowns and I am pleased that Cafe La Gaffe is still agreat option on Baldwin St. The owner is a multi-talented gentleman who showed us very personalized service and made us feelcomfortable and welcomed The food ingredients are high quality and the portions are very large. We were here for brunch. The food is ok, , fruits are fresh, service is good. I think server and cooker are the same person, so... you may expect longer wait time. I can see our server is trying his best to serve us. We will visit them again soon. Read more
I had the weirdest experience at this place. Came here for a quick lunch after exploring the city. We were not asked for proof... of vaccination which made me feel uncomfortable during this time of covid. At first we were offered someone else?s meal. Thefood was okay and mediocore although a little pricey for a pizza. The waiter was trying to help us although the atmosphere ofthe whole place was just off. Read more
Tried to come here for lunch today, worst 2 minute experience at a restaurant. Disappointing as the menu looked good. As you can... see in the photos the restaurant had 3 tables, we were dismissed quite rudely and told they were too busy to seat us. When Iquestioned them the guy asked me if I wanted to come cook the food myself? so disappointed in this service. Read more

Love love LOVEEE the food!! I?ve been coming here since 2017 and it?s always been an amazing experience. One of my favourite... restaurants ever!! The quality of ingredients, the service, atmosphere, It?s worth every penny. I was devastated to hear howtough if it was for them during the pandemic so if you?re reading this review, deciding on what to get, or simply hungry, gohere!!
