Just gross. Last time I was there the beef tartar had this gross slime on it. No idea what it was or where it came from. Waiter... quickly took it away and asked if we would like it remade. I said no thank you, asked for the bill and left. Will never return.I think their sanitation is sorely lacking. Read more
Very poor hygiene by staff, I noticed staff not washing there hands after going to the washroom, I complained but management... assured me there was no problem. Sure enough I got food poisoning after eating here. Stay away from this place if you value yourhealth. Read more
Long one of the best Toronto restaurants with superb, friendly service and delicious food. I think they are also extremely well... priced compared to similar restaurants in the city. It would appear they are also being reviewed bombed right now for exercisingtheir rights as Canadian citizens, which is unfortunate, but the fact their rating remains 4.5 despite that attempt really saysit all. La Phenix aka Chantecler 2.0 is a wonderful local establishment with friendly staff, beautiful back patio, and super delicious... food! Beef tartar was the best we've ever had, escargot as well! Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. PS.Ignore the anti-vaxx losers who randomly showed up in reviews, they are dumb. Read more
