This place hit the spot for breakfast/brunch. We ordered All aboard special and crispy chicken Benedict. The bacon was so crispy... and eggs very fluffy. The hollandaise sauce was very tasty. The portions were very generous. Also enjoyed the design of therestaurant, hence the chew chew(train). I really enjoyed my visit, as the servers were very welcoming and friendly. I willdefinitely be back whenever I visit downtown TO. Read more

The food here is amazing and at a very affordable price. The interior is cool because it's supposed to look like a train... carriage. Service was not the greatest though hence -1 star. We never got a water refill and they forgot the pineapple on mymeatloaf Benedict. :( I would visit again and recommend it though for the food and cheap prices ???? Read more

Exceptional brunch fare. St. Patrick Benedict was a nice surprise. Good quality food and honest service. More of a local... hole-in-the-wall spot than the usual big ticket brunch spots. A great value proposition and choice if you?re in the area! Read more

We had an excellent breakfast here. The price is unbelievable, and everything was delicious. They have some unique menu... items(meatloaf eggs Benedict?!), and lots of options loaded with veggies. Our server was really sweet as well. Wouldabsolutely go again on out next visit to Toronto. Read more

Heard great things about this place so wanted to try! Nice diner vibes and portions were generous and food was decent but we had... to wait a long time for food (repeatedly saw other people who ordered after us get their food before use). Also would have beennice if we were seated in one of the available booths instead of in the back room which was kinda drab. Side note, I asked forhoney and they were so old that it was actually solidified. Never seen packaged single serving honey look like that before. Ihad the Philly steak sandwich with a side of French Toast. The sand which was pretty tasty. A little greasy (the way I like it????) and the bun was soft. Fries were ok - not my favourite. But the French toast was a definite no go. I?d still go back andtry something else though. Prices were ok. Read more

Wonderful meatloaf with egg benedict. The french toast had cinnamon for extra flavour. All in all, a good meal. :-) I decided... to try new dishes: Pork Schnitzel and Macedonian Salad. The pork schnitzel was overcooked (dry and tough). In addition, it needsto be marinated for extra flavour. The Macedonian salad was excellent. A tad salty from the feta cheese. Read more

I'm so disappointed.. That I never tried this place sooner. I love diners like this - so much character. Places like this make... you feel like you're eating a home cooked meal, made from scratch. I love that they don't skimp on portions or things like theamount of olives on my Greek salad. Service was above and beyond. Normally I can't stand when a girl younger than me calls me'sweetie' or for us 'lovelies' but not the case with our server, Gray. Charming, professional and friendly and very efficient -she can call us whatever she likes, lol. An added shout out to this place - they are commissioned by Saint Luke's United Churchacross the street to provide the meals that are handed out twice a week as part of their meal program. It feeds people at AllanGardens and others in the area. All the more reason Chew Chews deserves kudos and support from the community! Already lookingforward to going back! Read more
