Live performances were enjoyable. Food ( appretizers were disappointing) Potato latkes tasted very oily and no other flavour.... Hummus and pita also quite bland. Corn chips and guac ($3) for a very tiny bowl and once again was lacking any sort of salt, orlime, or spices. Pricey for what you get. Read more

10 Stars! My family and I have been going to the Free Times since the 1970s. We live nearby and it is my go to place when I want... to eat great and consistently available food. I could go on about the times we went for shows in the back and had a great timeor times we went for special dinners like Mother's Day etc. Accessible. Fun, happy place with great food and the best servicefolks in the entire world. <3 Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Read more

visited a few weeks ago during slow summer evening and was served by a tall short haired person wearing hair dye who gave me... some of the worst service I had ever experienced. Sat me down, borderline threw the cutlery down onto my table (I tried to thankher and be polite cause I figured she might be having a rough shift but she barely wanted to make eye-contact with me)insteadvery curtly saying "ya no problem". Then she gave me my meal, didn't check in with me, didn't ask if I wanted the food bill so Igot up to take care of payment myself 20 mins after I was finished eating. She had my $100 bill checked thoroughly, used it topay and took a tip out without even asking me then handed me the rest of my change with a very emotionless "here ya go". Thisexperience was so bad it actually stuck with me. I'd never been before and thought this place was really cool and was preparedto tip well and tell friends about it before even eating the food. I liked the rustic atmosphere, lighting, layout and thediversity of the unpretentious menu, but the service I received felt really dehumanizing and not only will I not return but Iwill be actively warning ppl to stay away. I bought tickets for two for the musical comedy. The comments I read before I bought the ticket were very positive and that's... why I bought a ticket. But last Saturday night was a torture. I watched a "musical comedy" that had nothing to do with thecomments and didn't make you laugh. Really bad sounds and very bad songs were played. I can say clearly that it was not funny atall!! If I come to the owner of the cafe: Since I can't remember his name, I would like to describe it. While a middle-agedwoman was serving, "You have to have a drink, coffee doesn't count as a drink." said. That was so rude. I ate a hamburger fordinner. If I hadn't added salt to my hamburger, I would never have eaten it. The meatballs looked like they hadn't used anyspices or salt. As a result, my night ended in complete frustration. I'm sorry for the price I paid for the tickets, I don'tknow the high price I paid for the food... I don't plan to go again. Read more

Came here for the magic and comedy show, and it was amazing! The show was at the back of the restaurant, and it's a rather... intimate setting (be prepared to share a table). Nevertheless, both food and beers were reasonably priced and delicious. Read more
