Quite an expensive place. But it?s a fun experience to sit around a turning table full of boats on water carrying sushi. They... also have a menu where you can order more expensive items like the fatty tuna. The fatty tuna sushi is quite nice, but thesashimi is not that fat. Meaning it?s a lower quality cut of the tuna. Read more

Service is mediocre. The location is convenient to a few nearby hotels. The food varies: the scallop sashimi was great, the... unagi sushi was good, and the dragon roll was subpar, while the fried gyoza was rather disappointing. I assume they are usinglower quality fish in their rolls so I would highly recommend just ordering sushi/sashimi a la carte individually from the menu. The main reason why I came for dinner here, however, was to get some uni, but to my big disappointment they ?ran out? of it by8pm on a non-busy weekday while the restaurant was almost empty... Ooops! unacceptable for a japanese restaurant in city centre. To sum up overall, reasonable prices, spotty quality, not a top-notch sushi place but rather a casual joint. Read more

Fun experience with decent sushi but lacking in that wow factor for the price. You are paying a premium for the experience of... having one of, if not, the only conveyor belt boat sushi restaurant experiences in Toronto. Service was satisfactory andattentive but expected for the price. Sushi variety was average with some exotic options and a range of drink and sakeselections at all price points. Each plate is between $4.50 to $8.50 for two pieces, on average. Higher priced items likeuni are also available. The uni was tasty enough but not from Japanese waters. I would return annually for the floating boat(Fune) experience, not for the price or quality of fish. Read more

Came here for my birthday, was not disappointed! We particularly love the scallops and their salmon here, melts in your mouth,... feels really fresh and taste quite a bit nicer than your average sushi place. And of course with great quality and service comesa greater price tag, more on the pricier side, but not outrageously expensive. We sat on the floating sushi boat bar, and thequality of the sushi is still very good, despite not being made right out from the kitchen, still tasted fresh. Also tried theUdon and wasn?t disappointed, the broth especially smells really nice. Would definitely come back on special occasions! Read more

For sushi that's high quality and consistently good, come here. The floating sushi bar is cool and the selection that comes... around is great. And if you want something that doesn't float on by, just order it off the menu. Service here has always beengreat during all my visits. The waitresses are prompt and attentive and the food comes out quickly. Prices here are reasonabletoo considering the quality you're getting. This isn't your all-you-can-eat quality here. Overall, one of the best sushioptions in the city in my opinion. And considering this place has been around since the early 90s, others must think so too. Read more

The service and quality of the food we received was great. It was a little on the pricier side but worth it. The experience was... great especially seeing their rotating sushi boat system. I would highly recommend this place if you want fast service andquality food. Read more

Fune is probably the only place I know that has conveyor-belt sushi. Its my first time in Toronto but the sushi was fresh. The... only disappointment is that it wasn't busy that day and not much people were sitting at the sushi bar so it was rotating thesame kind of sushi. I was waiting for more of the sushi rolls (it was a torched salmon with mayo that melts right in your mouth)Eventually I never got to taste it again. It a good concept but next time I might go when its a bit more busier(maybe Saturdayor Friday night) so I get more choices Read more

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cool. It has that dimly lit, mafia look to it but it's very nice. There's 2 rooms. The... entrance room which is a Sushi bar where the dishes are pre-prepared and float in water onto of little Japanese boats, chainedtogether. Very charming. The second room is that of your typical dining seating. The waitresses are very nice and polite. Ourparticular one was very bubbly and had an accent which added to the feeling of authenticity. I ordered from the normal menu soI didn't try anything from the sushi bar. The food itself was quite good, though not necessarily the best for the price point.I've had arguably better meals for much much less. That said, the atmosphere really adds to the experience. It's definitely agood location for a date or fancy meal. Read more
