The service here is fast, friendly and efficient. So right off the bat they get good marks in my books. A couple of friends... were catching a flight at the Billy Batson Airport so we looked for something close by. We all agreed to some sushi and BBQribs. Everything was great. I believe it was the harbour front roll that was my favourite. The beef ribs were fantastic. Veryjuicy, thicker cuts of beef with a good amount of fat. They come clean off the bone. We also got some calamari and chicken ofthe same type. The calamari was good but the chicken was kind of stringy and stale. If you're looking for good sushi and BBQbeef ribs and are in the Lakeshore area definitely give it a shot. Read more

The experience here was fine; nothing special. Had an $18 soft shell crab roll; it was passable, lacking in flavour, but at... least fresh. Old and stuffy interior, bathrooms need a lot of work. Fake plants and very 90's atmosphere make for a very draband uninspiring spot. I'd say avoid. Read more

I was so happy after leaving that I had to review ASAP. Nicest people on Toronto, very generous portion, everything was great,... great flavor, great smell, great presentation. And I didn't have to give a kidney to pay my bill. Great cost benefit too. Greatlast meal in the city. Read more

I come by Guirei quite often. It has a lovely location by the waterfront, with a nice patio for the summer. The servers are... generally very friendly and attentive. And the food is good. I?ll level with you though?this isn?t the best sushi in Toronto(nowhere near), and this isn?t even the best sushi in its price range. I used to really enjoy this place (used to be 5 stars), but since they recently (May 2022) changed owners the quality/taste went... way down and the price went way up :( the sushi rolls look like a kid made them, so sloppy! I got the same order as usual andthe price went up by 30%, nuts! It's really a shame. Read more

There are not many options for food by the harbourfront, so I did not have high expectations for Guirei. We mainly chose it for... its location as we were attending an event nearby. They have a very sizable menu with both Japanese and Korean options. Thefood was average at best. The Guirei sushi combo set that I ordered was not at all what was pictured nor was it worth the price.The yaki udon is usually a safe option for us, but the udon noodles were very soggy. With that said, the staff were veryfriendly and the food came out really quickly which I really appreciate and helps even things out a little. Read more
