I had the Rustic Cobb salad. It was abundant, had enough chicken and bacon and it was also quite filling. I had to ask for extra... dressing because I felt I wasn't given enough for such a big salad. I just love it here. If you don’t mind waiting a bit to be seated during busy hours, it’s worth the wait. I didn’t take... any pics because I like to take in my surroundings first. Cosy place, friendly staff and awesome wings. I will try somethingdifferent when I visit but I love tasting wings from new places to go. So far this is my “go to” for wings. I’ve been to king rustic before during the pandemic restrictions and had an amazing burger for takeout. I was really excited... to go again so I sat in around 3pm. Initially I didn’t feel very welcomed, the server stayed behind the bar. My phone did nothave data so I requested a physical menu. I was given an old menu. The server said it’s from 2015. The prices and menu itemswere all wrong. He gave me his personal cellphone to look at the online menu from which felt really awkward.. then when lookingat the cocktails I said “wow all of these look great but can I just get a margarita” which is quite simple compared to theircocktail menu. The server said he can only do basic mixed drinks and to come back at 4pm. I’m not sure why he didn’t Googlea basic recipe but I’m not going to rag him for that. Overall not a good experience so I ended up leaving - hungry. I’mpretty disappointed. Get real menu’s and train all your staff on basic cocktails (or rebrand as a dive bar) Read more
King Rustic! I’ve eaten at this place a couple times and each time I’ve come back it’s gotten better. This place serves... THE best pirogies I’ve ever had in my life. The chicken and fries are also unreal! It’s a tricky spot to get a tablebecause it’s so busy and small but it’s well worth it. The last time I dined here I sat at the bar and it was fine. I doplan on coming back here just for the pirogies. You shall see me again. Read more
I ordered the fried fish sandwich with Cajun fries for delivery. The fish was crispy but not too breaded. The bun was fluffy... and soft. The slaw and toppings complimented the fish well. The fries had great flavour but were not crispy at all. I threwthem into my air fryer for another 8 minutes to crisp up and they were perfect! I would definitely order this again. Read more
I have to give credit that this is one of the few restaurants that are walk-in only in the King West area - especially for last... minute Friday night plans during times like this where restaurants have limited capacity during COVID. We got a table for 3right away and ordered the Manchego Burger, the Lamb Burger and Nachos. Everything tasted so fresh and well seasoned. Probablyone of the best sweet potato fries I’ve had in recent times at a restaurant. I also ordered the drink of the night recommendedby the serve - Dark and Stormy. The server hyped it up, but it was alright. The only reason I am deducting a star from thisexperience is because of the lack of attentiveness in the service - we didn’t have napkins provided to us and our waterwasn’t asked to be refilled even though we were there for a couple hours. Really nice spot on queen west! My partner and i happened upon it and hadn't been before but it was really great and we'll go... again! Staff was very kind and courteous. Limited menu at the moment but the options were very delicious. I had the greenvegetable salad (summer special) and the veggies were deliciously roasted with an arugula base. The green dressing was reallytasty. My partner had the chicken sliders and said they were awesome! Lots of cheese! And he had a cool mixed drink (pictured -orange with dill garnish) that was spicy jalapeño with other flavors. Really great spot and will be back! Read more
Great good and drinks, we had a lot of fun and the portions are big. Worth a visit, I’ll come back for the lasagna since I had... the burger ( also delicious) and most of plates come with Cajun fries that OMG are soooooo delicious, I would order just thefries since they were the perfect paring. Try the white sangria too. Read more
