The food at La Carnita was impeccable. Its a must to get the tacos when you're visiting the restaurant because of how delicious... they are. The atmosphere was also amazing at the restaurant, I went there with my coworkers and we all had an incredible time.One thing I gotta say, is it's difficult to find the restaurant itself because there's no sign with the name of the restaurant???? and the service was a 4/5 because our waiter forgot a few orders. We were excited to visit this restaurant. We?ve been to this location before and it was fabulous: both service and food. The... food was great. Tasty and flavourful. The service was awful, terrible. Our server took our orders but she looked like we werebothering her. Perhaps a smile would have been encouraging, but we didn?t get that either. And no, it was not busy. We had toask for cutlery; We asked for more water, which never came. When the table beside us ordered, we immediately ordered our mainseven though we weren?t finish our appetizers. I had to get up to ask for not only our bill, but the bill for the table besideus because they too were waiting. Our server was so distracted by being on her phone, that our table and the other table jokedat how easy it would be to dine & dash. I mean we waited for over 15-minutes. The corn on the cob was a total hit! Loved loved loved it. Would highly recommend. Flavours heat and combo of cheese is... perfect. The three dips (salsa/bean/guacamole) were also really great. Spicier than I expected but perfect for my taste/heatlevel. Had the two chicken tacos. The fried chicken and the other one. The latter was more tasty in my opinion. We went there for a really late night dinner because it was the only restaurant in the area still open after 10 PM and we had a... nice experience. The waiter was enthusiastic and super swift with the orders even after a long shift. The food was flavourfuland fresh. They have amazing vegetarian options. Their sweet potato soft taco was the best. They were a little pricey for thesmall portions but packed with flavours and top notch ingredients. Their Saturday special was corn chips with a queso dip andwas fairly priced given the generous portion. The music was too loud, but I?m guessing it?s catered to a younger clientele. Read more
[4.5 / 5.0] La Carnita offers some of the great authentic Mexican food in Toronto with some twist to it. We had a great time... enjoying vast selections of the tacos. Personally my favorite is the Pork Belly, Fried Chicken, and Fish Taco. It is full offlavor, from the acidity of the sauce to the sweetness of the meat, everything just comes together well. Service was a littlebit underwhelming for the evening, it?s understandable that the restaurant was busy. However, it would be great if our serverpay closer attention to us and proactively assist us. It takes us awhile to find our server and had to ask other staff membersfor assistance instead. Overall, La Carnita is a great place to dine with a cool vibe. We ordered a veggie taco and chicken taco both tasted really good. Quesadilla was good too. We thought the menu was a little... limited and could have more options. But overall the vibe was good and it got better after the patio lights were turned on Read more
My favorite location with all the right vibes and music. The bartender was fantastic... making crazy cocktails, chatting with... people, taking food orders and keeping his bar clean. The food was yummy as usual. Will be back for sure???? Read more
This was a delicious surprise to happen upon while on a short day trip in Toronto. We didn't have a reservation but they were... able to squeeze us in no problem. Food was really good, we loved the short ribs, fried cod and tuna ceviche. The desserts weregreat as well. All round good time and will definitely visit again when we're back in the area! Read more
