It was our first time trying Mary Brown's and it was pretty good. We tried both the regular and the spicy chicken. The chicken... was greasy and probably could have been drained longer. They were very busy, so it was probably why. The spicy chicken had anice kick. Some of our taters were huge. Gravy, biscuits, coleslaw and mac & cheese were all good. The young lady that served uswas very nice but the other staff didn't seem like they liked being there. Read more

Honestly, I am convinced that the quality of chicken here is setting a higher level of expectation. The price is somewhat higher... than average but I have never regretted a meal or felt rather unhappy. Basically, if you order a meal and split it with the newhoney mustard flavor and original, you will get a sense of the level of seasoning that goes into the preparation. Otherwise, many other chicken places use a standard buttermilk batter or herbs and spices, your sauce is pretty much the finishingtouch. That?s the reason why I prefer the type of chicken that packs a lot of taste into preparation, rather than relying onsauces for flavor profiles. The additional point is that the wedges known as ?taters? are so flavorful for poutine that broaderfries gives an entirely different type of experience. Unlike the thin crispy fries, these are made from mealy potatoes that areamoist and thick. The extra breading offers a moderate crisp. A few curds not many, but it?s all good. The chicken isn?t cheap.Be prepared to spend $30 for a single meal. This factor means that I eat out less often but I am very picky where I shop. Theplace is kept tidy and orderly. I will shop again. Breaded pickles was a novelty at first but I decided I don?t need ?em everyvisit. Thanks Read more

This is the only valid review. I don't know what the girls name is but she has blonde hair. I've had conversations with other... customers who have said how great her customer service is and I've never had a bad experience. The food doesn't disappoint. Thechicken tastes clean compared to other chain fried chicken places. Read more

Hi, I was very disappointed yesterday afternoon with the cashier telling me that sauces are limited to four after I order a 9... piece combo. When I reach home and check the bag all I saw was three ketchup. I was very upset to know that sauces are limitedat this location. I never experience that before and I did told the cashier. Never going back to that place. Read more

This was our first time trying Mary Browns and unfortunately we left very disappointed. First off we waited over half an hour... for our 6 piece chicken meal and we called to let them know we arrived for curb side pickup. The girl working there hung up onus without even confirming our order which we found weird. After waiting a while longer we called and she came out with our mealand gave us so much attitude about not being specific about our car model even though we were the only white car that was parkedin front of the store (she never came out to check in the first place) This already gave us a bad impression but we were stillhopeful about the food. Chicken was mediocre and had lots of oily and soggy parts, and we asked for napkins and utensils whichwe got none of. Sorry but I will not be coming back especially not to this location. Read more

I wanted to try out this place as a blog had mentioned that they had the best chicken sandwiches in Toronto, which I thought was... strange because I'd never heard of this place before. I ordered the regular Big Mary, the Spicy Mary, and the Buffalo Mary totry out. The patty on the Big Mary was severely lacking in seasoning, and whatever little that was on it got drowned out by thebuns and the thick slathering of plain mayo. The Spicy Mary had a good amount of heat, but needed extra salt to balance out theflavour profile. The Buffalo Mary left me feeling confused, because I didn't get any hint of Buffalo flavour whatsoever. Thepatty was slathered in a mixture that tasted like a combination of ketchup and mayonnaise. I ordered that with a blue cheesesauce, and no hint of that either. Overall disappointed at this place, and very unlikely to come back again when there are lotsof other good places to get chicken. Got a Spicy Big Mary a la carte with a chicken sweet heat sidekick and pickle chips with a side of spicy mayo. The pickle chips... were great! The sandwich was crunchy as hell. Not too hot, and not too overly hot. Good balance. Read more

Seems like they are still working out their kinks. Walked in on a Monday around noon. One employee at the counter. She was bit... shaken cause a previous customer was complaining that they weren't given enough wedges. Kitchen staff were caught off guard, deer in the headlights vibe. Alright no biggie, it's a fast food joint, I just want my fried chicken sandwich to taste good. Gottwo big Mary's to go, both spicy. Monday special is $3.99; two costs $9 after tax. Compared to Popeyes and KFC, it was not good.It didn't seem fried - it tasted like a basic chicken breast sandwich. Part of the filet was missing the deep friedgoodness. Let's see how this place holds up, cause there's not much fried chicken competition in the neighborhood. Read more
