Not sure if me and my friends ordered the wrong type of noodles but all of our bowls came out with too little soup to submerge... the noodles?! Also soup from the classic beef noodle wasn?t the most flavorful. Definitely to advise the server to add somechili oil (spicy level) otherwise your soup will feel a bit tasteless, like some salt is missing. On a better note, noodles wasmade freshly when ordered. Good texture. We also ordered a non caffeinated mango refresher - came out in a huge glass. Very goodgiven it?s ~6$ price point. Our servers were wonderful and very attentive- hence I gave this place a 3. If the soup was pouredmore generously and more flavorful, that would be great. Read more

We stumble upon this place and I am so happy we did! The noodles were really delicious, my dish was flavourful and well... prepared, very filling. I ordered the passion fruit iced tea, which was very good too. Friendly service, good prices. You shouldnot miss this place. Read more

a must try when you are in downtown Toronto! 4.5 out of 5 their signature iced green tea is epic! best fresh ice tea i ever... tasted, we got the mango and passion fruit, you can really taste the fresh fruit in every sip ????the noodles are freshly madetoo and very chewy. if you are not a fan of cilantro you can request not to put those in. Tables are full when we got in fordinner, spacious, modern and clean restaurant, fancy utensils really nice, price is reasonable not too expensive, we can'tbarely finish the big bowl of noodles, my 2 daughter shared 1 bowl! very fast service even though the place is jam packed, theyeven asked if we have food allergies. took out 0.5 rating because they only have 2 choices for the broth which is only beef andbraised beef Read more

We were here for a light dinner. We had one order of squid tentacles skewers ($9.95) and one large bowl of braised beef noodles... ($18.95). The size of the large bowl is enough for 2 to share. Scissors are provided to cut the noodles. Everything is good. Yummy in my tummy. Staff service is above par. If paying by cash you will receive 10% off. One suggestion - wish a bib wasoffered as I?m wearing a light color top. For those who know you know what I mean. Read more

I really enjoyed my dinner here! The lamb skewers were my absolute favourite! We ordered it twice and I?m still craving it to... this day ???? Mushroom and squid tentacles were really yummy and seasoned well! Tomato flavoured stir fried noodles weredelicious but I found the noodles to be a bit too chewy. Finally, we wanted to end the meal off with something sweet! The menulisted mango mochi ice cream to which we were really excited for, instead we were given vanilla. When we addressed the mistakethey said mango is discontinued, but was never corrected on the menu or communicated when we ordered it (should we have beennotified, we wouldn?t have gotten it)? I think transparency is honourable and would have appreciated them telling us. (My frienddidn?t like vanilla) . Read more

Went there for diner with my partner. There were a lot of tables inside and we were sat quickly. I ordered the signature stir... fried noodles with shrimp. My partner got the beef noodles. I really liked my dish as it was really flavorful with niceseasoning and a good amount of vegetables. Would definitely order again. It is on the oilier side but worth it! Even though weordered extra egg, it was not served and we had to ask for it. The waiter brought it really quick after we said it was missing. This resulted in getting the bill without the egg so we made them note of that error and they added it on the bill. We could notfinish our dishes so we asked for containers and they gave us extra broth for the soup which was really nice of the staff. Woulddefinitely come back. Read more

A number of Lanzhou noodle shops have popped up in Toronto recently. I was hyped about trying this new Mogouyan restaurant... offering the authentic hand-pulled noodles. It's a spacious addition to the many diverse group meal options along the downtownstretch of Dundas St near Eaton Centre. As a first experience, I ordered the classic Beef Noodles. It had all elements of atraditional Lanzhou noodle bowl: clear broth, white radish, red chili oil, green parsley and yellow hand-pulled noodles.Unfortunately this rushed batch of hand-pulled noodles for our group did not have the bouncy texture; it was too firm to pull orsoak soup flavour. I did have better noodles on a subsequent visit. Thin braised beef slices were well-seasoned adding to thetasty A-grade beef broth. We ordered their beef & lamb skewers to pair with the noodles. While salty, these were grilled with acrispy layer surrounding the tender meat, and cumin spices influenced by the spice trade along the Silk Road. Both classic &braised beef noodles also came in 1-3 spice levels, but all were frankly quite mild with aromatic chili oil. It was a heartymeal. Mogouyan is named after a locale in Lanzhou city. The restaurant has operated there since the 1970s prior to recentlyexpanding to Toronto and soon to Alberta. Food Ranger flew to Lanzhou to their shop when he went searching for Level 9999noodles! It's a good thing this option is nearby closer to home. Read more

Was greeted by the waitress and seated at the nice booth table. Restaurant was very clean and spacious. Ordered braised beef... noodle with spicy level 3. It was served with a big bowl of broth with good amount of noodles. Could have been more nutritiousmeal if they added more veggies in the soup though. All I found was a couple of pieces of radish, cilatro & onion. Brased beefwas very tender and broth was tasty. They served spicy oil with the noodle soup. But it was not super super hotspicy. Signature stir fried noodles with chicken seemed to be big enough to feed two people. Noodles were so fresh andbouncy. It was very disappointing to find out later that I could have chosen the shape & thickness of noodles. I was neverasked. Also there is no choice of veggies add on. If you really want to add some veggie to your meal, I guess you can orderkelp or cucumber salad. Read more
