I was surprised to be able to hear Old Sea Brigade in this small comfortable, intimate setting. Was a new and great experience.... It was an unexpected venue because it's located in the middle of a residential area. The beers were priced well compared toother venues, the washrooms very well kept (extra star), and the whole atmosphere quite friendly and relaxed. I enjoyed it a lotdespite the boxed in acoustics. Hopefully other well-known (underground-indie) bands come here, I will be on the lookout. Read more

This little bar upstairs at The Monarch is a complete hidden gem. The staff are phenomenal and take incredible care of you every... time you go. They've got great events like karaoke once a week and a fun-to-play, well balanced pool table upstairs. If you'relooking for a good old fashioned bar, the kind that Toronto used to be known for, look no further. Read more

Went to see a show here last night and had a great time! The atmosphere is really good and the mix of the live performances were... honestly top notch! They have a decent beer selection as well at both of the bars (There's two floors). Totally worth hittingthis place up if you want to see live music in a cool, lively setting. Read more

It was a great experience at the local bar. We came to see and listen Canadian bands, one of them was Bitter and Broke band. The... place was clean with a good ventilation system. Bartenders were attentive and prices for the drinks were provided. I think it'simportant to support the musicians, community and people who run local business. Read more

Great club for live music. The staff was great. The bar upstairs was nice as well. Good pool table for 2 loonies. The house beer... was tasty and cheap. Overall a great hang. Read more

How could I not like this place? I grew up 3 doors down, from birth until age 25. Whenever I return downtown this is definitely... in my travels. For those who have never been, it's a rare and comfortable place oddly located in the middle of a residentialneighbourhood. Read more

Loved the ambience and how intimate the performances here are. I came for Slaughter Beach, Dog during a very humid night and... the one star off is due to the lack of ventilation in this venue ? those few hours in there were hot and mucky but still had ablast. Read more
