I'm a pescatarian. There are very few restaurants that serve great veg dishes or dishes where fish is the hero. But I have to... recommend their spring rolls, pd Thai and tofu with mushrooms raguu. The food is probably the best I have had in a long time. Wewent there for our work annual holiday party and the ambience, drinks, food and service were great. Read more

Very unique and hidden gem. True definition of fusion cuisine from the cocktails, the shareable plates, and the entrees. The... decor is a perfect fit and the atmosphere is set just right for an intimate setting. Somewhat more pricey than the other placesbut you do get what you pay for here. Read more

My boyfriend and I picked this spot for our anniversary dinner, and we both loved it for many reasons. We had booked our dinner... which happened to be during their happy hour (HIGHLY recommend visiting during this time). Firstly, the ambiance at this placeis just amazing. It?s got the dimmed lighting, music that?s loud enough to hear but not too loud where you can?t hear each othertalking. The waiters and waitresses were all so amazing. Our server started off by giving us a nice overview of the restaurant,it?s history, and telling us about their popular dishes, which we really enjoyed. We got two drinks each, all from the happyhour menu. The drinks were all definitively on the more sour/tangy side, which was as expected based on the waitress?descriptions to us, but I love those flavours so I really enjoyed it! Dishes: we decided to order all 5 of the canapés on thehappy hour menu, so we could get a little taste of each one. This was a great idea for us, and they were pretty good portionsfor the prices (around $6 each). Though hard to choose, my favourites were the Bao and coconut shrimp, while my boyfriend?s wasthe wagyu skewers and fried tofu. All in all, I would come back JUST for the small plates. For mains, we got the sea bass andpork belly. We did wish we had ordered a rice or noodle dish, as my boyfriend could?ve eaten a bit more, but I left verysatisfied with our meal. Everything was so fresh, delicious, and of great quality! I had also left a note that it was ouranniversary, and we each got a complimentary drink, which was so nice. This spot was perfect for our date night and we couldn?thave had a better experience. For everything that we ordered, excluding tip, we spent about $140, which was honestly great forthe quality and the experience. The serving staff honestly made our experience especially great, so huge shoutout to them!Thank you for a lovely evening and we are looking forward to coming back :) Read more

Summerlicious menu was so so good! Read the end of my review to know if it?s worth it to participate. Food Ratings: Bistek... Tataki 8.5/10 (crunchy pieces so good) Mapo Tofu 10/10 !! our fave dish of the night!!! Trout Ceviche 9/10 different than normalceviche! So good Torched wagyu chow Mein 7.5/10 yummy but compared to everything else not as wow Sea Bass 9/10 peanut sauceflavour is out of this world Pandan dessert 6/10 Turon dessert 6/10 Desserts were not necessary. Staff were amazing though.Really knew the menu and the food well! It?s $45 pp for summerlicious (after tax, tip & a drink it was closer to $90) I thinkit?s worth it to just go to the restaurant and order whatever you like bc you end up paying the same amount & not being able tohave the choices to order from the rest of the menu or you are forced to have dessert when that you don?t really care for. The space inside is really cool and makes for a great place to grab a drink. The cocktails were pretty decent and on par price... wise for Toronto. The food was just okay, but that being said we only ordered one dish. The service was friendly but just a bitslow. I definitely would still come back to try a few more things on their menu though. Come here for cocktails & a cute photo op. Pros: Super friendly bartender, pretty & tasty drinks, cool tropical decor Cons:... Food was underwhelming and overpriced. The pork belly dish was not good. You can get better Asian food elsewhere for less money Read more

The food... was unique and delicious, and the service was great - we had Anna as our waitress and she was bubbly and kind and checked in onus just the right amount. The drinks were FUN and delicious. You really can?t go wrong here!! The place was busy but notoverwhelming, great music, and fun decor, all of which made Mother Tongue more than just delicious food, but an experience!! Read more

Came here in February for a dinner- we were seated downstairs at a table near the bar. It was much darker downstairs vs the... ground floor but the music was good, loud enough for a great vibe but quiet enough for conversation where we were. Weordered: BC Trout Ceviche Bistek Tataki Humba Pork Belly Torched Wagyu Chow Mein Favourites were all of them actually! Greatflavours all around, especially the Ceviche and chared Pork Belly. I've always loved Asian flavored beef tataki dishes overItalian type carpaccios and this Bistek Tataki did not disappoint! Our server was good, very knowledgeable about the menu andoffered food pairing recommendations Read more
