Had a lovely lunch at Parka last weekend. They offer a huge menu if options and one I'd the few plant based kitchens on Queen... st. We shared the large GF Truffle Mushroom mac n cheese (cashew). Pure comfort food with great taste. Also shared the ChickenFried Tofu Sandwich, great, fresh taste but it's not an imitation of chicken which most don't prefer anyway. Overall, great, friendly service as well as gender neutral bathrooms on premise. My longtime vegan friend was super impressed. Highly recommendfor lunch ???? Read more

Really friendly staff and cute concept. I personally like the fries and the supreme cactus burger. The supreme fries with cashew... cheese are a nice treat. I appreciate that the food is very digest and not greasy - it leaves you feeling comfortably full.Clean interior and fast service too. Read more

Sustainable, fresh, locally-sourced and vegan ? love everything about mission statement of Parka. The inside is a bit on the... smaller side but very aesthetic and clean (even the washrooms)! The service was extremely friendly and we got our food fairlyquickly! They were kind enough to cut our burger into thirds, so we were able to share everything with ease. Food: 4.5/5 (fromfavourite to least favourite) - The smoky portobello burger was recommended to us and did not disappoint! Mushroom was so juicyand flavourful, and it was clean to eat and very balanced with the guac, onion rings, arugula, and tomato. - Chipotlecauliflower bowl looked like a lot of sauce at first but it was perfect ? the sauce is not overpowering and had really goodflavour. I do wish they gave a bit more guac! - Truffle mushroom mac and cheese smelled really good and the mushroom with cashewcream and pasta was heavenly! However, the bites without the mushroom were a bit on the bland side and could have more truffleflavour. - Broccoli soup was warm, flavourful, and thick! A little heavy handed with the salt but otherwise a decent choice fora side. We will be coming back! Read more

Went here for lunch with a non-vegan friend and we both thought it was delicious! I got the cauliflower wrap and s?mores cookie... and she got Mac and Cheese and a juice. We liked everything. The service was pleasant and our food was ready pretty quickly! Read more

Ordered takeout and it really wasn?t good. There are much better vegan options in the area. It was a little cheaper but still... not worth it. The truffle Mac and cheese was really lacking in flavor and texture, but especially flavor. It was bland and notthat gooey texture you expect from (vegan) cheese sauces. I?ve had much much better vegan Mac and cheeses. The main flavor waspepper, no umami. The mushrooms were good but mainly sour in flavor (vinegar). Barely any truffle flavor. It was even lackingsalt. Would not order again. The Buffalo cauliflower was even worse. It was completely soggy, not even slightly crunchy. Itreally could have benefitted from some breading - it seems they only lightly battered it, so when covered with the sauce thecoating completely dissolved. It was also much too soft on the inside. Tasted like overcooked steamed soggy cauliflower tossedin sauce, not worth the calories at all. The Buffalo cauliflower at Fresh in comparison is excellent and holds up well intakeout - compared to that this is almost inedible. The chicken fried tofu burger was again disappointing. The tofu again wasnot crunchy at all nor breaded. It tasted like regular cooked tofu with no coating, not even as crispy as baked tofu - theydidn?t even bother to coat it in cornstarch. If it was fried, you couldn?t tell so again not worth the calories of frying. Itwas also underwhelming - the whole wheat bun tasted awful and the rest of the toppings were lackluster. Barely 1 tsp smear ofthe guacamole. Overall, avoid their fried foods as they are not breaded or crunchy at all. And even non fried foods like theMac are bland. If you?re looking for tasty vegan food try Fresh or Treetop burgers or Planta, all in the same takeout radius. Read more

the order: _ truffle mac & cheese - smelled heavenly, however when i started to dig in i didn't enjoy it as much as i would... have. noodles were al dente, sauce was lacking in flavor, sautéed organic mushrooms were very flavorful. for each spoon, i hadto make sure i had some of the mushroom to get a 'kick' of flavor or else it would've tasted plain. overall yummy m&c but needsa kick! the overall: _ i have yet to explore (in detail) the world of vegan food so i decided to try out Parka Food. Sourcedlocally, reduce food waste, sustainable, focuses on natural ingredients, and breaks down the misconception of plant-based food.choosing Parka Foods means you're choosing to make a positive impact. _ beautiful, beautiful aesthetic and as soon as you walkin, you know exactly what they're all about. _ staff was extremely helpful, helped me choose the order _ excited to try the restof the menu Read more
