Had some girl friends visit from out of town and we stopped by for lunch. Very cute restaurant with a nice vibe. We all got the... lunch special which was $34 for an appetizer, pasta or pizza and dessert. The egg york pasta was good and decently filling. Thetiramisu was creamy and delicious. I had the Calamari for my app. It was a touch salty for my preference but nice and crispycoating. Overall it’s a cute restaurant with good service that I would visit again. Read more
First of all, superb and prompt service, always keeping water topped off and making sure we have everything we need. I would... say that the menu is not too comprehensive. The food were delicious and didnt take long either. Their carrot cake, which isserved with ice cream, was excellent. Who doesn’t love a corner bistro? (Especially one with florals painted on the brick!) Cozy Italian restaurant with an... assortment of pizzas and pastas. If you order the egg yolk ravioli, make sure you slice open the pasta first to release the yolkfilling. Otherwise, the noodle is quite dry. The brussels sprouts are delicious and abundant. Went here for dinner with friends on a Thursday night. We still had to make reservations as they’re quite busy, so always book... ahead. We got the Burrata Pomodoro ($19 plus extra for extra bread) to start which was delicious and in my opinion thehighlight of the meal. Really good tomato-herb flavour and great burrata. 5/5 For the mains we got Mushroom Cavatelli ($26) andRigatoni & Meatballs ($26). The cavatelli we agreed was decent but a too one-note and kinda bland for our palates. The pasta wasnicely cooked though but they really skimped on the mushrooms. 3/5 The rigatoni was apparently good and the meatballs werecooked well. 5/5 For dessert we got the Carrot Cake for two ($19) and Nutella Tiramisu ($12). The carrot cake was quitespice-laden and well-made, and the cream cheese icing was nice. A little too spice-heavy for me so 4/5. The tiramisu was reallygood but quite sweet and didn’t have enough ladyfingers in my opinion - too much cream not enough substance of theladyfingers. 4/5 Service as an absolute 5/5 - our server came by often to refill our water, clear our plates, ask us how thefood was, brought our bills promptly when asked and split them as we asked. Excellent service. Overall we decided we would notgo again, even though it was a mostly good experience the food just didn’t wow us enough to warrant going again. If it’syour first time then I do recommend checking it out, the patio is quite nice and the painted wall they have is beautiful. Read more
Really great spot for a special occasion! (a little on the pricier side but totally worth it) the ambiance is lovely - even the... outside of the restaurant is beautiful. the staff were super nice and really attentive. of course, the food was delicious! Ilove the mushroom cavatelli and it’s a personal fave, and same with the vodka rigatoni. I really liked the pizza and the sauceeven had a little heat! The sea bass was super delicious and flavourful. Really a top notch meal. Would definitely recommend fora birthday, special occasion, or nice date night! Read more
My husband took me here for my birthday. It was a lovely surprise. The ambience is so cozy and romantic- candlelight and a... single rose on each table. The food was even better. The staff was accommodating and welcoming. Our server was helpful and gavegreat suggestions. A great way to spend my birthday :) Read more
Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and the food was great! I really liked the salmon crudo and regret order another 2... plates of it! The carrot cake was delicious, perhaps one of the best carry cakes I've ever eaten. The staff were all friendly,kind, and courteous. Really really enjoyed piano piano. Everything was chef's kiss ranging from their service, atmosphere, food, cocktails, and... wine. We came as a group of 6 and made reservations in advance. Highly recommend resos as it was a pretty full house when wearrived around 6:30pm on a Friday evening. We were seated in "the vault" which was definitely cozy for 6, thankfully we weren'ttoo big because I could imagine taller & larger folks being quite cramped in there. But it was an enjoyable space along withtons of privacy! The food: We shared 2 pizzas as apps, the fun guy and sweet hornet. They were both delicious and flavourful,but definitely the fun guy was the winner We then each ordered pasta. I shared the mushroom cavatelli and egg yolk ravioli. Thecavatelli was easily my fave. Pasta was cooked absolutely perfectly and I could've devoured the whole plate. I wasn't a huge fanof the egg yolk ravioli because the pasta around the edges was quite dry..but I get that you can't cook it long otherwise theyolk would scramble and not have the gooey goodness. The richness of the egg yolk ravioli is crazy. Brussel sprouts wererecommended by the server and they were a smash. Definitely get them! Finally, dessert... Carrot cake is a must have and islarge enough to share (hence the price). Tirimisu was pretty good, although I don't think there was any ladyfingers, but morecreamy than anything. Would probably skip the lemon cheesecake as it wasn't a standout in my books. The cocktails were verygood, and the rosemary Negroni was fantastic. Good wine selection as well. Last but not least, service was great. Our serverwas slightly on the talkative side, but it was sort of entertaining. I also must mention the price, surprisingly dining heredid not cost an arm and a leg. The place is very nice and they don't completely milk you for your money. Great value IMO hencethe 5 stars! All in all, a great restaurant for some really good Italian food. Highly recommend! Read more
