We had a great experience at this location a few weeks ago in the eve! The waiter was so attentive and friendly and all the food... was fast, hot and tasty! He was so chatty and kept coming to check on us which was lovely. I was super impressed. They allowedme to get my pasta how I like it and customize it even when I was worried I was being too picky. They didn?t mind at all. Itwasn?t busy because I think most people think the cheese cake factory over there is better but I disagree! They treated us likegold and nachos were chefs kiss! Pickle Barrel was one of my favourite restaurant when I was in university; food quality definitely isn?t comparable to the past.... Service was decent and attentive. Steak was over cooked and the soup was a bit too sweet for me. Price is fair. Read more
We ordered some apps and wine. Got the hoisin chicken ginger bites which were good, and the deep fried pickles. I love deep... fried pickles order them everywhere I go, but at Pickle Barrel, the order is legit one pickle cut in spears. So for 7.99 (sameprice as the chicken) you get one pickle. ONE PICKLE. This is not the standard at other restaurants with deep fried pickles asan app. So if you?re fine with $7.99 for one pickle they were good. Visited this location was very impressed with the food and the service. We were served by a thin I believe her name is the Greek... Lady and she was fantastic The mac and cheese balls were fantastic the footlong was very good. Not a fan of the chili that'swhy I went easy chili. Only down phone pickle barrel if you even read this invest in a better dessert menu. I know there's acheesecake factory upstairs but only four dessert options is not a good thing Complimentary pickles were nice. Read more
I never write reviews but this time I really need to leave one. The food was good and great portions. However, the customer... service was not it. My friends and I decided to celebrate my birthday at this location assuming it would be great. We tried toask two servers for napkins and they ignored us. I had eye contact with both but they just looked at me. I even smiled at them.We might have our own server for our table but my friends and I did not know that. They could have just said that instead oflooking at us and ignoring us. Secondly, we had leftovers and a take out. We were on the escalator going up when my friendforgot to grab his take out. Not even a minute and they said the ?cleaner boy? already threw it out. We even left a tip. Theycould?ve at least checked that there was food inside the paper bag. Never coming back at this location. Good service. Good sized portions. The food could have been a bit tastier. I ordered a medium steak but it was more on the rare... side. The mashed potatoes were good, but could've used more salt (personal preference). The Ceasar salad was good, though. Aswas the squash soup. The shrimp linguine and shortcake was delicious! Cocktail was ok. Dishes are on lower prices than other. Service is quick and nice but food needs improvement. Salad is not... fresh. Chicken is too pale without any flavour. Just a quiet place to grab a quick meal when shopping at Yorkdale. Read more
