Reviews for Pumpernickel's in Toronto, ON
They?ll make you a fresh sandwich if you ask for substitutions
I had pumpernickels cater at a family event. We paid $15 per person for a lox platter with bagels for 12. What we received was... not a reasonably sized platter for that number of people. When we contacted the restaurant they said they provide 2 oz of loxper person and wouldn?t offer any consolation. This is a crazily small amount if they think that is all that will be eaten. Wehad to go and buy additional packs of lox for our guests. And of course, our guests finished the whole platter and moved ontothe additional lox we bought. Consider that a lox and cream cheese will cost on average $10-12 with 3-4 oz of lox. And compare.with other small catering/ shops in Toronto and you can find $ pp of $10 or less for larger portions. The amount of brie they put on the turkey sandwich is criminal, it's literally paper thin. Raise your prices if you have to, but... don't skimp on quality. Read more

The salads here are to die for ! Love the fresh, healthy and delicious options. The schnitzel is wonderful with the panko crumbs... and seasoned cooked onions. It?s a great, much needed healthy alternative for this neighbourhood. It?s quite busy during theweek. In the new globe and mail building. Highly recommend!! Read more
The place really look nice, bright and a lot of space. The prices are little bit on a high side. There's not a lot of choices... for food but what I know for sure the breakfast sandwich with avocado and bacon is awesome. Be aware they don't have ice in therestaurant so no iced pops here, iced coffee and the coffee is really hot so you would need some time to wait if you don't wannaget burned. Also, there are no sleeves for small cups so it's another chance to burn yourself. No Wi-Fi Pros: - Deliciousbreakfast sandwich - Space and feeling Cons: - Prices - No ice - No sleeves for small cups - No Wi-Fi Read more
Beware the sandwiches are tiny. I'm not a huge eater by any means but it was made from what appeared to be the small slices you... find at either end of a pre-packaged loaf of rye bread. Put me out $12 and I'm still hungry. Read more
