We had a very lovely weekend brunch at Ricarda's. We ordered the beef short rib hash, beef burger with truffle fries, and banana... bread French toast to share. The beef short rib hash was very flavorful and came with well poached eggs. The mixed greens on theside was complimentary to the bold flavors of the beef and had a pleasant crunch. The dish also came with two pieces ofsourdough, which was perfect for soaking up the delicious sauce from the hash. The burger was reasonably sized and hearty. Theaccompanying truffle fries were incredibly fragrant and did not disappoint in taste. We had the French toast for dessert, whichwas very rich and moist, but not overly sweet. We also enjoyed the classy, laid back vibe of the restaurant. There was a livejazz band on Sunday, which made for great entertainment. Our two-person table was a tad awkwardly placed, as it was stuckbetween two larger tables as well as the server's POS. Although not ideal, this did not significantly detract from our diningexperience. Upon enquiry with the staff, we learned that Ricarda's has no plans to bring back their Sunday brunch buffet in thenear future. This was profoundly disappointing to hear. Nonetheless, we would still be open to returning to Ricarda's foranother weekend brunch. Read more

Tldr: great food, vibe and service. If you are thinking about going, stop thinking and just go! You won't be... disappointed! Vibe: went for brunch time, and the vibe was amazing from the moment we walked in. It has a modern frenchaesthetic, slightly feminine but not overly so (I went for a bachelor party brunch there). The seats were comfy. The space wasopen and vibrant which made the entire experience start off right. there was live music by two jazz musician who were riftingand being creative. It really felt like serious and consious thought was taken in constructing the experience of thisrestaurant, which I appreciated. Food: DELICIOUS! I had an Americano and the shakshouka (pics attached). The coffee was wellmade. Beans were well roasted and coffee even when black was really nice. The shakshouka was also good, I enjoyed it, however Iwish they had taken it a bit further and also added some caramelized onions. But that's a preference thing. They gave me freesour dough bread when I ran out which was kind, since that bread was sooo good. Service: they were kind and assisted inordering when required. The chef also walks around and makes light convo which was nice. Overall a great experience, you won'tbe disappointed. Read more

Probably one of the best Eggs Benedict in town, and it's not just about the taste, it's also how they make it -- every... restaurant should use this technique, chefs: pay attention! Inside decor is very Art Deco style. Service was great. Live musicwas a great addition to the atmosphere and more restaurants should do this. Read more

I had high expectations for this place and came out very mildly disappointed. The live two-piece jazz band for brunch was great... and the decor was modern (though the tables could be updated). They even had a living wall for those that appreciateplants. The food I did not like so much. Prices were low which was good but everything came out overly salty (we ordered theCroque Madame and Short Rib Hash) and that's saying something aso have a high tolerance for salty food. Menu was so-so.Cocktails were standard and service was attentive. Read more

I quite like the relaxing atmosphere. Cheap, good coffee, a variety of baked goods, and an airy cafe space make for a relaxing... start to a workday. Having lumbar support on the tall chairs would be nice, though. Read more

2022 March 4.5? Cafe menu only. Step inside this modern and elegant European inspired restaurant and you'll feel at ease. Large... tables makes it great for groups. During this time, they've recently opened up only their cafe area. Miso Fettuccini Pasta -rich, creamy and full of flavours. Back bacon, wild mushrooms and Parmesan cheese. A kid friendly meal. Would order itagain. Short Rib Croissant - nice thick simmered and soft short ribs with brie cheese and a side of nice crispy fries. This wasalso very good. Salmon Brussel - mustard baked salmon and Parmesan Brussels sprouts. The salmon was perfect and the mustardseeds gave it a nice crunch with the salad. Beef Burger - a nice thick patty, with the usual toppings. Didn't seem special, butthe fries were indeed very good. Mocha - great. Not too sweet, but just perfect with the nutty flavors. Excellatte Matcha Oat- a rich Matcha taste. Food and drinks were great. Atmosphere can either be calm or lively depending on when you come. Wouldcome again. Read more
