Nice atmosphere , Very friendly staff. The baked Brie was a perfect snack with a couple of beers. We’ll definitely be back... when it’s warmer to sit on the patio. Read more

I would like to acknowledge the wonderful staff at the Blake House especially the young man who saw my wife taking my 89 year... old mother in law to the bathroom. Without prompting he asked if they would like to go through the kitchen to a more accessiblewashroom since the main ones were two flights down. Much appreciated because she has a great deal of trouble walking. A kind andthoughtful young man who will go far in life. Food was awesome. I had the steak sandwich. Grilled to perfection. Nice andmoist, not dry. Dessert was the blueberry cheesecake. Yummy Read more

A great family run resto in a beautiful historic Jarvis Street house. What keeps me going are the cheap good drinks and rustic... and fun atmosphere. Oh, and the awesome patio! Read more

Friendly service. Good food. However for my Caesar I expected one with garnishes rather than just plain like in the photo.... Really wishes like a pickle or celery was in it. But the salmon Benedict was very good. Read more

The Blake House is a hidden gem in downtown Toronto. With a wood burning fireplace, great food, and a cozy intimate atmosphere... in such a spacious and beautiful restaurant, this is the ONLY place I want to hangout over the upcoming winter months. Thecarrot and ginger soup was the best soup I’ve ever had in my life and I’d come back for it alone, the vegetarian springrolls were surprisingly amazing and came with a perfect sweet chilli sauce, the mac and cheese was delicious and filling, and myfriend loved their steak dinner. Bonnie, our server and the restaurant’s bartender was unbelievably kind, welcoming, and madeus feel extremely well taken care of! It’s not often in Toronto that you get such amazing service, so when you do it reallystands out! Bonnie answered all my questions about the vegetarian options on the menu and even thought of better ones likeasking the kitchen if they made the mac and cheese with chicken broth, which they don’t (it’s all vegetarian) but how kindand considerate for even thinking about that! She was going above and beyond with her service without ever once seeming strainedto do so and it made the night so comfortable, fun, and enjoyable! I will request to sit in Bonnie’s section again next timeif it’s possible! Read more
