The Roy is a great place to grab some pints and delicious, stick-to-your-ribs, pub fare with friends. Their chicken pot pie and... beef dip came in generous portions and tasted amazing. Also, make sure you order the fries - they're hot, crispy, golden brown,and lightly salted - as all fries should be. The staff is welcoming and provided excellent service. I always look forward to my visits to The Roy! I like the staff, the laid-back interior, and the good food. One beer here always... turns into two as I feel the stress of the City trickling outta me. The music here is great as it's the old classics and Ireally like that! The front window where I usually sit is good for casual people-watching. This pub reminds me of the pubs backon the East Coast with its welcoming atmosphere. Yes, I will be visiting this gem real soon! Read more

We went here for the wing special and it was great! The service was fast and friendly. It was busy but we were able to eat with... our two young kids and get home in time for bedtime. The server brought smaller cups for the kids and extra plates for sharingfood. Will happily return with family. Read more
Let me start by saying I have come to the Roy so many many many times (I was going weekly) and absolutely love their toffee... pudding cake (so good!) however, after my experience today, I will not be returning, not that they seem to care if they lose aloyal customer. After calling a few days ago and speaking to the general manager, whom was very very nice and superaccommodating and she also confirmed that they do offer gluten free options, we arrived at 3:45pm and was greeted by a nicegentleman who said no problem to seating 10 of us in their empty dining room inside. The man with glasses that was workingbehind the bar overheard and just said "no" out loud to the gentleman who was going to seat us and then just turned his back onall of us. We were all very confused and stood there unsure of what was happening. Finally after standing there confused for aminute with out group, I asked the man behind the bar if we were going to be seated or should we sit ourselves and he replied. No, we just can't accommodate you. I replied, is it because you have reservations and he replied. No, we just can'taccommodate you. I replied but your whole dining room is empty. No reply was given to that comment...he just turned away fromus. We left and were very very confused and it obviously left a very very bad experience to all the people I was with that hadnever tried the Roy out before... I LOVE supporting local and I LOVE supporting small business so I thought it would be awesometo show the Roy some more love. Unfortunately, I guess they don't need the business. No problem at all! We went down thestreet and ended up spending $$$ at the amazing Leslie Jones which I highly recommend and will continue to support. SO happy tosupport a small business with amazing food that actually treats their customers with respect. Read more
Got a takeout sandwich today & it was sooooo great???? The beef was great cooked with amazing taste. The salad which came along... with the sandwich was also perfect specially the sauce. The other good aspect for me was the price!it was really worth it &unlike surroundings it really worth it. I also really liked the vibes of the place. I should try to dine in next time. Walked in and immediately was greeted with a smile. Went a couple times now and both times we were served pretty fast and... honestly, such a chill atmosphere and friendly staff! ???? I honestly loved the food. Got the chicken pot pie both times Ivisited and boy is it filling! Comes with delicious peas and carrots and choice of side (I always go with the fries, even thoughI can never finish them because of how full I am) haha but yes. Highly recommend this place for lunch or even a visit fordinner. Read more
