I do have mixed feelings about this place as it was 1) damn near impossible to find inside that bar 2) sketchy looking kitchen... looks like it?s built in a closet 3) decent tasting tacos though small A no frills taco place run out of a bar. Ordered four tacos on uber eats and got this. Thankfully got a refund but I?ve ordered a few more times since I didn?t mind the... taste and thought it may be a fluke as there was a decent rating of 4.6. Yes portions are very small but also the toppings theyput on are wildly inconsistent. Some tacos of the same type will have more or less of a topping, or none at all. Laughable Read more
I highly discourage anyone looking to buy tacos from Tres Compadres. This place is a joke. I bought a couple "single serving"... tacos for $6.75 per serving. When the term single serving is used, the standard is 3 tacos, however, for Tres Compadres itliterally means 1 taco. Are you kidding me, $6.75 for 1 taco? I am Latino, I grew up eating well made tacos (at home and fromthe streets) and I can guarantee whoever is reading this that these tacos should NOT be worth $6.75. I would not be as upset ifthe tacos were actually delicious and thoughtfully made. The corn tortilla looks, feels, and tastes the same as the Piaxtla corntortillas that can be bought at No Frills ($2.79 for ~15 tortillas). If you are going to charge $6.75 per taco at least makeyour own tortillas, they are easy to make. I am telling you from experience. I did not find the size of the tortilla big enoughto justify its price either. The amount of protein (chicken and fish tacos specifically) was average at most. If you arelooking to eat tacos here in Toronto, please stay away from Tres Compadres, unless you want to give away your money for mediocrefood. There is a plethora of places with much cheaper, larger portions, and in my personal opinion more delicious tacos. Read more
The portion sizes here are laughable. I placed an order through skip the dishes and received the smallest tacos I've ever... seen. They're about the size of a perogie. On top of that, there's nothing special about them. The toppings are bland, and thetaco shells were luke warm and tasteless. Six of the tacos included in the picture are $40. Extremely over priced. I almost laughed when I opened the set of three tacos I ordered from here. These are Lunchable-sized! Definitely overpriced too... as the taste was so-so and they were really dry. Look carefully West along Dundas for a place where you can get three oversized(I'm talking twice the size of these hamster portions), double tortilla tacos for 25% less!!! Read more
I ordered from this place a few times. Previous times tacos were good but the portions are getting smaller... Yesterday I... ordered crispy tacos and got soft tacos, which came in the small box and now have become even smaller. 3 tacos is not enough fora meal. I called the place and told them they gave me a wrong order. 3 stars is for bad customer service because the guy thatpicked up said nothing he could do here and next time they will add some thing nice to my order... there are better places atKensington to order tacos... First of all, I did not even dine-in at the restaurant and their food was PROPERRR. I UberEats?d some nachos and chicken tacos... and WOW!! The food was perfectly seasoned and it hit the spot so hard I didn?t even expect it ???? I could only imagine diningin and everything coming straight from the kitchen, OUF *Chefs Kiss* ????????. Def making a date night here, tacos were a littleexpensive as it adds up since they charge you per taco, but tbh food was sooo worth it!!
