I entered the place at around ~8 pm on a weekend, stood in a line for several minutes, and left with a legendary cheesecake.... It?s really soft and delicious. I like how they present the brand, the taste, the staff?s friendliness and professionalism. Nowonder there are always people inside:) Read more

Food was awesome! Best Japanese bakery in Toronto. They should improve their ordering and waiting times. The line gets so long... with only one girl working as a cashier and also fulfilling orders. Read more

How I wish they have it here. We went to visit Toronto just a couple of days ago and went there to try out their famous Japanese... cheesecake. However, its sold out that day. Good thing they still have cheese and matcha tart. I love it. I even ask my daughterto bring home some since we left a day earlier than her. You should try this, I guarantee you, it?ll be one of the best matchatart you?ll ever taste. They will not disappoint you. Read more

My favorite cheesecake every time I visit Toronto. It?s so fluffy and light yet full of flavors. We usually warm it up for 20... seconds in the microwave when we go for seconds and it tastes just as fresh. Read more

So Uncle Tetsu moved from the tiny space on Bay Street to another space at least 5X larger on the corner of Dundas and Bay ... (it?s massive, you can?t miss it). Now while this is great, I wonder why they still have just one cashier. It also does not helpthat the one cashier moves so slowly. I know how places want to have pretentious lines to demonstrate high demand but for thequality of the offerings here, uncle Tetsu does not need the lines. Get a couple more efficient cashiers (you have more thanenough space for this) and get rid of the lines. The cheesecake is always great so I?ll be back. We get the point, it?s in highdemand. Be done with the lines already and let?s not have to wait 20+ minutes to get our fave cheesecake. 4 stars just becauseyou have ONE cashier set up for such a massive space. Read more

Got the classic Japanese cheesecake for takeout. It was SO good; fluffy, light, and had a subtle sweetness to its taste. It does... get a little sickening to eat if you have too much, but if you're sharing with 2 or more people, the size is perfect. I wouldn'trecommend having leftovers of this cake! It's best to eat it fresh. Read more

The checkout process is very poorly streamlined. I've only ever seen one or two people handling both cash and packaging. It... creates an incredible choke point in the business and oftentimes a single order can take upwards of 5 minutes. Pray that no oneahead of you in line orders a box of their tarts. I had high hopes after learning they moved to a larger location across thestreet but was sad to see the same slow checkout system carried over. I'm not sure if this is a tactic to create a greaterillusion of demand because it seems easily resolved. I enjoy the product but management should look into allotting more peopleto the customer-facing side of the business. I spent most of the 20 minutes waiting in line writing this review with plenty oftime to spare. Not pictured are the 10 people behind me and out the door. Read more

Good cheesecake for afternoon snack. :-) cheesecake is soft and fluffy in texture. I tried the supermarket brand in cheesecake.... Supermarket cheesecake is thick and heavy in texture. The afternoon snacking continues with tarts. :-) Read more
