Haven't been here in decades! To be honest I had low expectations but I was pleasantly surprised! The food was tasty but a bit... over salted. The service was on the slower side, perhaps due to scheduling and short staffing. That definitely affected our wait time for... serving, even for open bar seating. As for the food, Lunch hour is until 3pm, which my coworkers and I definitely tookadvantage of. $16 is a great deal for this lunch boat. I personally don’t like fish, so I ordered it without sashimi. Family dinner for my cousins birthday. Kid friendly, waiting and chef staff funny and friendly. Although we had an appointment... at 7pm, we weren't seated until 7:30 and that was after questioning the hostesses. Chef didn't arrive until 8pm. Normally Iwouldn't care, but we had little kids who are not as patient. Which it made it difficult to entertain them while the staff gotit together. We had the traditional experience that you get when you come here, but it was interesting because we are used to this particular... chain on the East Coast. The sauce is on the west coast are completely different, as are some of the seasonings, so when we gothere and everything was different it threw me off initially. Overall I think they didn't exceptionally good job at cooking, theportion sizes were very good, the flavors were good, however I have to give it only four stars because the bathroom was dirtyand had not been cleaned in quite a while, and the happy hour drink specials only applied at the bar and not at the table.
