Good selection of Hawaiian plate lunches, generous portions, that are well prepared. I ordered chicken katsu with coleslaw and... broccoli and I couldn't eat it all. The katsu is on a bed of rice the full width of the container and the coleslaw and broccoliwere enough for another meal. Read more

The food is good don?t get me wrong but the portions for the price can be lackluster at best. The Korean plate costs over $20... and is a large serving of rice and maybe a small thin piece of meat that barely hides the mountain of rice they filled. This wasalso the ?large? portion so I can only imagine what the normal or small portion is. Legit felt like I was robbed. Normally neverhad issues with the location but that was definitely bad enough to warn others about reconsidering this location. Read more

Simply horrible service. We dined in and there were two other tables that were already eating. Took like 25 mins for the barely... warm food to get on the table, reality is they spent most of the time handling take outs with our food sitting there and themswitching things out not knowing what to do. Hard to watch as they were struggling to figure out what they?re doing. Not goingagain. Read more

Do not expect this to be a nice sitdown restaurant as they used to have on Hawthorne, although the prices are as high as it was,... now it has a fast food look but if you don't care about ambiance go to L and L Hawaiian Bar B Que a little further north atthe Home Depot shopping center on Crenshaw, their prices would be cheaper, more variety of dishes, a little bit more decorationand week old Hawaiian papers. In fact if you want a place with nice ambiance AND food that is cheaper make an effort to go toBack Home in Lahaina in Carson, the only other with atmosphere like that is King's Hawaiian, which also doesn't seem like a fastfood joint as most restaurants which serve Hawaiian food are, if only, Back Home offered a loyalty club like King, which givesyou discounts and lovely birthday meal to it's members, sigh. Usually I read reviews, but I had a b'day coupon for King'sHawaiian Bakery Res./Local Place and because I like Dole Whip which they only sell at Local, went there and they had run out ofthe oxtail soup and this is at 1 PM and they only serve it two days a week!! I asked them to call Sepulveda location, they didand they had oxtail there but forgot to ask as to how long a wait, well we went there, got nervous as parking lot VERY crowdedand a lot of people outside and the wait was 45 min, so left. Thought that this restaurant was the Loft at Lahaina, (got twomixed up) when I googled Hawaiian restaurants near Torrance, Back Home did not show up and this did, so since I was going inthat direction went there and when I got here, the interior was so stark (and no customers, a bad sign) that I wanted to turnaround and leave but since it was the THIRD restaurant we went to with a first date, too embarrassed to change again, but wish Idid and not just have Hawaiian that day. As many have said, place is uncomfortable, chairs are like that in shopping carts whenyou were a kid (except shopping cart seats had padding), and as it was a cool day, did not no Read more

Great food but a little pricey and unfortunately somewhat slow service. I got a 3 combo late and upgraded to bacon fried rice... for a total of around $23 before tax. Wife got a 2 combo plate and another friend got a tuna dish. All in we were around $55 forthe 3 meals. Everything tasted really good and admittedly there is quite a bit of food offered in the combo deals. Our ordertook about 20 minutes to arrive at our table even though we were the only people in the restaurant. We were not in a rush andthe food tasted fresh so this wasn't the worst but still unexpected. I'll definitely be coming back again because the foodtastes great but the Loft is definitely a treat due to the cost. Read more

My family and I love the loft, very happy that they opened up a location close to us. There's always plenty of food to eat with... your order, the staff is very friendly and efficient. Their Island style fried chicken is amazing, their mac salad is the bestaround, and they're bacon fried rice is out of this world. Read more
