I have always enjoyed the food from here. Even when it was in Torrance on Hawthorne years back. The Island Fried chicken is my... favorite, but the Kalbi, Katsu Chicken and Charsiu Chicken are close behind. I also enjoy getting the Chinese Chicken salad fora meal every once in awhile. This place is good to eat at but I see lots of people getting the food to go. The take-out lineseems to always be busy. Oh I don't get appetizers a lot from here but of course the Spam Musubi is good and I enjoyed theKalua Pig Egg Rolls. If you have room the Jello Cheesecake is delicious and reminds me of my grandmother's dessert. Update11/30/2020 During this shelter in place during COVID-19 I've eaten here about 2 times a month at least. Since they were doinglots of take out before this thing they do it well. Also they are really organized and are running smoothly. Note -Only takingcredit/debit card. Please support them, the food is good, good portion size and the staff are nice. Update 11.10.22 Sadly it'sbeen a few months since I've been here to get food. There are a few changes since the last post. You can now enter therestaurant. They no longer have a cashier outside. They seem to have streamlined the menu a bit. It's still pretty much to-goonly but they are allowing people to eat in the restaurant. Unfortunately it's not the same as before. They moved the boothsaround and some are gone. I hope they are only doing this to keep the restaurant going. They are still only takingcredit/debit and no cash. Place was nice and clean the service was a little slow but the food was tasty, portions were small. The boy that took our order... was kinda rude for some reason from the get go. Maybe go again if he not waiting or just order take out to try the differentitems on the menu. I love hawaiian style plate lunch places cause I'm from Hawaii wish that boy would have had more Aloha inhim. Read more
Food was alright. Kind of pricey for less portions. The place feels dead needs some uplifting.
I've been coming here for years during my lunch break from work, I've recommended this place to all of my coworkers but it's... apparently gone down hill the last time I got take out...they charged me 22 dollars for a few bites of Korean BBQ beef which wasdry and paper thin and a few bites of bacon fried rice had a couple pieces of bacon....I guess I won't be coming back..... This has always been a go to place. The first time in a year that we went back. Very weird experience since "covid " ... you... order, they package and you can eat there or take it. We had a party of 8 and thought we would get service as normal but wedidn't. It was us on our own going back and forth to finally get everything they forgot to give us like forks, napkins, sauce,another forgotten order of food, a drink.... the employees were all in the back for the most part ... unless they had acustomer. Went to the loft today to experiment with Hawaiian food! My husbands food on the left was amazing the meat had such an... interesting flavor. My Hawaiian grilled chicken however was the driest and most unflavored chicken I?ve had in my entire life.Fair warning to others!! Read more
For the price you pay, they give plenty of food and the quality is very good. I tried the beef stew curry with chicken katsu.... The only negative was that the macaroni salad tasted a little bland compared to other places in the area. Also one interestingthing is that they have crumbled packet ramen in the cabbage salad, which seemed a little odd at first, but I liked it since itmade the salad more crunchy. If you order a bigger place (around 13 dollars) you are basically getting two meals which is agreat deal. Read more
