I've been to this restaurant many times over the years. If you want the best Prime Rib, this is your to go place! I've had... their other steaks which were simply the best. The Franciscan staff are great, never had any bad experiences there. This placeis a combination of a bar and restaurant and a little dated, but I'm there for the prime rib. Excellent steaks. Great drinks. Love the retro vibe. The San Franciscan is a classic restaurant that never disappoints. I?ve... tried many different items on the menu and everything is exceptional! There is free parking, but the restaurant is always busyso it?s best to call and make a reservation. I think the front two rooms are the best. The big red booths are comfortable andhave a retro feel. Each table has an old fashioned lamp on the side. It?s so cute. The steaks are high quality. The blue cheesedressing is very good. The sour dough bread is chewy and crunchy. I haven?t been there to see the bands play, but I?ve heardit?s very entertaining. It?s open on Mondays. This place has been around a long time and hopefully will be around for many yearsto come. One of the gems in the south bay. Old school steaks where the meat does the talking. Try the prime rib it's there specialty.
My first time at the San Franciscan on sepulveda near Crenshaw no reservations just walk-ins at the front desk at the rear... entrance parking is kind of a problem. But the food is really great and worth it they have outdoor seating too they have alounge bar inside and they are pretty pretty busy I think it's also a meat ???? market to meet people???? ???? I hear the primerib is really great that's what my wife and I got they say the prime rib is like butter???? it melts in your mouth. First theybring you some sourdough bread to the table then they ask you if you want soup or salad. Then they bring you that deliciousentree of food the waiters and waitress were very polite.... My wife got the prime rib medium rare And I got mine rare orraw!! It comes with two kinds of horseradish creamy or regular it'll open up your nose lol. It's a family ran business nexttime I go I'll have to check out the menu for the other delicious wonderful food they offer so if you're really hungry and wantto meet someone go to the San Franciscan.... They also have a four-star from the newspapers review.... So bring the whole familyand enjoy a good dinner!!???? Read more

I love the vibe in this place. Looks like an old school restaurant with red leather seats and popcorn ceilings. The people here... are very nice and talk to you. Chris I believe that?s his name was our server. He did a fantastic job. I had the bone inrib-eye which was fantastic. I also had the salad with homemade thousand island dressing which was great. Made a reservation for NYE and had no idea what to expect. The coordinator for this evening did an exceptional job ensuring that... seating, service & entertainment went as planned. I was honestly impressed with how efficient the night was handled consideringit was a busy NYE Friday night ! Our server was friendly, patient & prompt. We brought our own champagne and it was placed in anice chilled bucket full of ice, we enjoyed it very much ! The food was brought out very quickly and in order. The band was funand played a great set ! What a GREAT evening ringing in 2022 at The San Franciscan exceeded my expectations! Read more
Come here if you want great steak, simple as that! It's a small, but home-y, place so if you have a somewhat large group, be... sure to call in advance for reservations or check to see for accommodations. But the staff are all helpful in answeringquestions and feel welcoming! We had the green beans, shrimp, and some of their other appetizers and we were totally satisfied.Their drink menu only lists the bottles and beer they have on hand, though they still have a full bar, so feel free to order acocktail and they'll make it if they got it in stock. And the steak itself is just so delicious. It's tender, got a beautifulcolor to it, great taste, and various portion sizes based on what cut and amount you would like to have. There are some pastaand seafood dishes which are still good, but if you come here, definitely get the steak, you won't regret it! Read more
