This is a great wagyu Japanese BBQ location. It's one of my favorites in the greater LA area along with Tamaen. For an average... size portion, expect to spend $100+/person without drinks. If you're a big eater, perhaps get some filler food like rice andappetizers if you're tight on budget. Read more

Yamaya is an outstanding place to try Japanese style beef. I had lunch here, we tried the washu beef combo and one of the... specials (a rib eye called "supersteak"). Everything was super fresh. Really liked the food. The happy hour menu was priced so you can enjoy many items. The meats were marinated well, and you get... the experience of grilling your own food. The atmosphere is typical. The location is convenient if you live in the local area.The only reason this is a 4/5 is because the ventilation didn?t seem all that well (perhaps just our table?).
