I spent some time in Wayne County today and stopped at the Hunt & Gather Restaurant. I have driven past this place many times... and have always wanted to stop. Spectacular! My first time trying antelope and elk and wow it blew my mind so many flavors; delicious. The presentation of the... food is so beautiful. Exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, upscale and delicious. Interesting menu. Reasonable wine list and prices. Beautifully... prepared food. Our server (Kerry), was super friendly. We had the antelope appetizer with wine to start. Then we ordered chickenand the elk for main courses. Tons of flavor and very tender. Not even the least bit of game flavor. Great meal at @huntandgatherrestarant in Torrey UT last night. Portabella Soup, Antelope appetizer, Beef Short Ribas and Duck... all amazing. Enjoyed a glass of Pazo Senorans Albariño on their outside sofas before dinner on the patio. Service friendly andexcellent! Beautiful evening after a great day of hiking. This place is a gem in an otherwise sleepy town with no traffic lights or stop signs. The soup of the day was a King Crab Bisque... which was fresh and delicious. I had the High Mountain Trout as the main entree. They provided a whole fillet of the trout andit was cooked to perfection. The dinner was great. If you are in the Capitol Reef National Park area this would be a greatoption for dinner. Read more
