Tried two of the new burgers. Quesadillas burger was excellent. Server was excellent. Had a great personality and friendly. ... The only little thing I had was the music is a little to loud. They need new pitchers for milk for tea/coffee. Lid was brokenon the one we got and the server had to take it from another table. Those two little things were all. Service was great. Ribs okay. Honey Chicken just okay. Onion rings good. Fries equal to McDonalds. Mac n cheese terrible. No cheese taste, just... a over sweet and strange tasting sauce. Maybe should have been 2 star. Not what I remember from past visits to otherapplebee's. Read more
Had a really great lunch here a couple days ago! Seated quickly and had a friendly chat with the hostess and the waitress. It... took awhile to order because so much of the menu sounded yummy. I had the Bourbon chicken and shrimp with garlic mashedpotatoes. It was heavenly. It was sizzling hot. The chicken was cooked perfectly as was the shrimp. The char on both wasexcellent. I was surprised at the sophistication of the dish. I didn't know about the breadsticks here; they are so tasty andtoasty. And the energy here was just comforting. Can't wait to go back! Read more
Stopped in Monday Afternoon. Requested the cheeseburger with fries selection and asked for a side of onion rings. Also requested... the burger be Rare which the waitress wrote down. When the order arrived I received the onions but not the fries. I was told itwas a substitution to which I stated no it was an additional item. I let it slide since this poor girl was struggling and itwasn?t worth it.Then I tried the burger to which I found was throughly burnt! Called the waitress and she agreed with me but Irefused a replacement! Then came the bill and I noticed I was charged for the onions which I originally ordered as an additionalitem but was told it was a substitute! If It was a substitute why was I charged? She offered to bring me the fries in a bag towhich I refused. It wasn?t worth it,this restaurant has steadily declined and I would advise all to save the health of yourstomach and travel down the road to the 99 Restaurant! Never been to an Applebees and never particularly planned on it. But me and a few friends went tonight for a casual dinner and... were absolutely amazed by how friendly, welcoming, and kind Ken was. The hostess was also very cordial and genuine. These peopleput so much hard work into making guests feel welcome. Read more
Although this Applebee's has done some updates to the building, I can't say the service was anywhere close to what I experience... a few years ago when I was last there. The salad was throw together, there were clumps of dressing in one area. My dinner was ahalf rack of ribs. There were no fall of the bone experience. The meat was very difficult to get off the bone. I was not thathungry so I decided to eat the fries and take the ribs home. This way I can cook it a bit longer to enjoy it - after all, I havebeen waiting at least 9 months to have ribs from a good restaurant. Applebee's ruined it for me. I am a seafood person. I havered meats 2-3 times per year. Lastly, I ordered brownies for desert. It specifically say the dessert comes al la mode with warmbrownies. The brownies was as cold as the ice cream. Very dissapointed with my dinner. I could have done a much better job if Iprepared this meal for myself. I hope this is not a common practice at this establishment. Read more
October 2022. This is a mixed review on the two for $22. menu. I ordered the 6 oz. steak medium rare once again with broccoli... and green beans. The steak was well-done and had some sinew in it. Our waitress suggested they bring me another one. I rarelyreturn food even if it's not to my liking, but after trying to get through a couple more bites, we asked for another. It wascooked properly but came out with the standard sides I wasn't expecting (garlic mashed potato and broccoli.) I thought I'd justget a new steak alone. Thumbs up for the new double cheeseburger with garlic sauce my partner enjoyed with add-on bacon. Thepatty's are smaller in size (3.5 oz. each) so it comes out to 7 oz. in total of beef. Their fries are okay. The boneless Buffalochicken wings were still good. We'll still visit Applebee's but I'll pass on the steak menu item next time. # Stopped in foranother late lunch and chose to order again off of the two for $22. menu. The boneless wings and cheeseburger are consistent inquality and taste, and the grilled chicken breast with broccoli cooked perfectly. Only thing I would substitute in the futurewould be the garlic mashed potatoes that came with the chicken dish. Gluey consistency with no flavor. Still, easy in/easy outplace with good service and food. # Another good experience at Applebee's Torrington 9/22. The 6 oz. Sirloin steak was preparedas ordered (rare) and the mashed potatoes were substituted with well-cooked green beans. Nice meal. My companion went for thecurrent deal of all-you-can-eat boneless wings @ $12.99. He made it to 19. If you order this, the first serving is 10 wings,then after this, it's five at a time. Fries come with each plate....reminded me of the original Man Vs. Food show...
