Staff was great. Disappointed you can't order ahead and pick up. If you show up mid-afternoon a lot of the choices are already... gone. The kielbasa was amazing. The things I wanted to try the most for sides for mac and cheese and baked beans and they wereout of both. The ribs were a disappointment and that is my favorite meat. They were very small when I thought St Louis ribs werelarge and juicy. I was told they had dry rub on them as I do not like sauce. Me and my nephew stopped by after a hike at Burr Pond. We both had pulled pork sandwiches and loved it. I took ribs home for Mom... and they were falling off the bone and tasty. The corn bread, coleslaw, beans and mac and cheese were all delicious as well! Eatin or at one of the many picnic tables outside. 8/12/22 stopped in while driving in the area and ordered the smoked sausagesandwich with mac and cheese and pickled onions.. one word..Fabulous! We were going to be in the area today so a friend suggested we stop here. I?m glad they did! We had the ribs, pork belly burnt... ends, cheese and garlic sausage, Mac and cheese and corn bread. The ribs were perfectly fall off the bone with the saucecaramelized, the ends were very tasty, the sausage had a good amount of cheese and chunks of garlic. I am not always a mac andcheese fan, but I definitely am tempted to grab more to go. We will definitely stop here again. We may even make a trip justfor it. Read more
I've been going to Zach and Lou's since they opened. Always worth the trip, whether it be on the best of sunny days or the worst... of hail storms. I'm always greeted by great food and friendly folks. Nothing like an amazing pulled pork meal and friendlychat with the best "people person" around. Thanks and see you soon! Read more
As owners of a barbecue catering company south of Albany, NY, what else would you do on a down day, but drive 2 hours to try... out a barbecue place? What a great experience! So a friend of mine mentioned this place to me. Im very picky when it comes to bbq. Took my friend's suggestion into... consideration and i also read the reviews. I live south east of this place in newburgh ny. Me and friend's i ridemotorcycle's with usually take 1hr or more rides on Sunday's just for lunch and then back home. Well my friend's suggestion and the reviews do not lie. Ribs fall off the bone and the chicken collard greens and mac and cheese are amazing. Allmy friends got brisket / pulled pork / pulled chicken and sausage sandwiches. Everyone was extremely happy withthere food. Do yourself a favor. If you like good bbq and are ever in the area.
